I just saw a pic of Chef Mickeys in the evening and the op said that you could see the glowing icecubes on the tables (they were blue). SOOO cool :Pinkbounc My Dkids would love them. Is Chef Mickey's the only place to get them? I have read some 'not so good" reviews on that restaurant, just wondering if they were at other restaurants and is it something you purchase and keep or are they disposable??

Thanks for any info !!! :flower:

We've gotten them at MGM at the Sci-Fi and 50's PT Cafe, also.

They have batteries and you can tap them to turn them off when you're not using them. I'm not sure how long the batteries last or if you can replace them.

Great, thanks, at least I have a few options where we can go to get them!!!!

We got them at LeCellier in Canada (EPCOT). They were served in Coke or rootbeer floats. My kids loved them.

My kids liked them so much that I now order them over the Internet. My husband has his logo imprinted on them - they make great giveaways. Just do a search for lite cubes, or glow cubes. Can't remember how I found them initially. You'll be surprised what a markup you're paying for them in WDW!

We received two this past trip, one at LeCellier and one at Prime Time Cafe. My DD actually likes to use them in the bathtub, so I can't use them in drinks around the house. It's nice to know I can actually buy some for drinks on the Internet.

I got Light up straws at Party City for our trip. They were a huge hit because you couldn't "get them" anywhere at wdw. They were cheap too!

Have Fun!

Target sells them :)

People keep saying that Target sells them, but I keep checking and I can't find a Target in the DC area that has them. :confused3

50's Prime Time had the light up ice cubes last week when we had lunch there. The children liked them!

We got them at 1900 Park Fare dinner and 50s Prime Time dinner. The 50s Prime Time came in souvenir cups too. The Park Fare ones came in disposable cups with crazy straws. We were lucky enough to get them free on the dining plan. At Park Fare, the waitress offered them to the kids knowing we were on the free dining plan and she also recommended a smoothie to me instead of a coke. At 50's PT, we waited a long time to order, which was ok with us really because we were in a/c and the seats were cushy. I suspect the long was was made up for w/the free souvenir cups with glowing cubes.

When we were at Garden Grill Friday I saw them on the menu.

My daughter got hers at Prime time August 04 trip and it still works/glows. She rinses the ice cube when she is done and back in the freezer it goes til next time.

I remember seeing on the menu for the sci-fi that they have a glow in the dark souvy cup with glow cube for 5.99. I was just curious if you had to request this specific item to get them.

From what I recall the restaurants were only serving these glow cubes in the specialty drinks you are referring to. They were not included in the dining plan.

Thanks KristineN ! That's kind of what I thought. We aren't on the dining plan so that is not a problem for us..I just wanted to make sure I ask for the right thing. I wasn't going to bother with the $5.99 soda :earseek: but if there are other kids around with them I know my kids will feel left out if they don;t have them too. And well - Hey..it is Disney after all!!
