Glowing Ice Cube Drinks

I have a silly question, we went to the World last year and ate at Prime Time, my nephew saw another child with a drink with the glow in the dark cubes, he already has his drink and we forgot to get him some before we left, this is all the child talks about, how he NEEDS to get these cubes (he's 8). Are these part of the drinks for kids on the dining plan?

My understanding is that they are not.

They are really cool. We went to Prime Time last year and I bought my daugter a drink with the cubes. I dutifully washed them off in the bathroom (she had milk) and placed them in a clean cup with a lid. I then had a senior moment and threw away the cup.

You are not supposed to be able to get them with the free dining pkg but can pay separately for the drink if it is a must have. Some people have reported being able to get them too so pixie dust sent your way... I actually picked up 2 pkgs of these at our local Walgreens so if you want to buy them outside WDW you can get them online as well.

I believe you can purchase the cubes for a modest extra fee when your child orders a glowing drink.

We just got them on the free dining plan last Saturday night from Prime Time. We also got them at 1900 Park Fare on the free dining plan, but both CMs were kinda hush hush about it, like "it's ok it's our little secret". The ones at Prime Time were also in the cups. It may have been partly because we had to wait quite a long time to order, although I didn't complain it felt GREAT to be on a cushy seat in air conditioning.

Okay, now here's the really silly question! Exactly where in a Wallgreens would I find them? I can see myself asking the young kid behind the counter, and getting this strange look!

The funny thing is I did just that only to find them right in front of my face where the associate was standing They were with the seasonal items so you may have a problem now with summer at an end...I would probably order them on the website posted above so you don't have to try hunting around for them but if you have a local walgreens and stop by give it a shot -I'm sure the associates have been asked alot weirder things.
