Sorry for all the posts, I'm getting SO excited and have so many questions.

What can anyone tell me about the cost of these? I heard somewhere they were buy 2 get 1 free, is that still the case? Can they be personalized? What attractions do they work at? Do they light up even when not near a synced attraction?

Thanks again all :) I really appreciate it :)

I think they are $25. I don't know about any sales but I already have them so I really haven't been paying attention.

I don't believe they can be personalized, they are a different material than most other ear hats. When you aren't near something they do their own little light show, usually just glowing different colors.

We have seen them synced up with World of Color obviously, Radiator Springs, DL fireworks, Fantasmic and a few other random spots around the park I think.

Glow with the Show ears are $25 (with tax). They used to have promotions going, but I haven't seen one recently. They introduced a few new "Made With Magic" items and they're also available in the parks. The Minnie Ears are a lot like the Ears, but it's a headband and the bow lights up (not the ears). I would highly recommend trying on a pair of the Glow with the Show ears before you purchase them. They don't fit like the traditional Mickey Ears, so it's good to know if you can wear them before you buy them.

They cannot be personalized (at least not that I know of). I think the battery pack in the top gets in the way of putting them in the machine.

They have an on/off switch. They will light-up when not snyced with a show. They cycle through all of the colors (you can buy the Made with Magic Mickey Wand to control the colors).

As ImDMous mentioned, they sync with WoC, Radiator Springs, fireworks, F! (I think), and Mad T Party (no longer being presented, but I would guess they'll work with whatever is put into Mad T's place).

I totally agree with this suggestion, my DS10 had to have them then we found they did not sit on his head properly no matter how much we tried to adjust the chin strap. So we have photos of him with them practically side ways on his head lol. They are a heavier also due to the battery pack and he also complained it got hot on his head (also from the battery pack I imagine). They look good but the wearing of them not so great.

They sync with Fantasmic, but it's not throughout the whole show and the area doesn't extend very far back. At least that's how it was when they had the first AP test.

They also sync inside Flo's and at the Cozy Cones.

We have two pairs of these and the first pair (1.0) have the fit problem, GWTS 2.0 has a foam ring and top pad inside that make them fit on our son's head much better. I'm not sure if our 2.0 (purchased in September 2014) are the current version, but it is possible. They've also improved the on/off mechanism. The 1.0 version has a tap on/off button that really didn't work well. The 2.0 version has a slide on/off switch inside at the battery pack. This prevents them from randomly turning on at night...nothing more exciting than a pair of ears glowing at 3am that would not shut off without taking out the batteries...

We plan to bring 2.0 tomorrow for F! and Saturday for WOC! The official Disney blog had a recent post on all of the new show items. There is now a wand that can change ear hats so you can be your own Sorcerer...

I bought the wand for myself last week and it is a lot of fun! Our 3 all had their ears on and it was great to get them all to change. You can even change others from 15-20 feet away! During WoC even the wand gets in in the action. I was like a big kid last week!
