We leave for DL in two weeks. This will be our first trip and our kids are 7, 5 and 1. I'd like to bring some glow sticks or light-up toys that I can find cheaper ahead of time. Any recommendations of inexpensive items that have been a hit with your kids?

I would recommend something with an "off" switch or is small enough that it can be tucked away out of sight when the actual show starts. I find it very distracting when someone has a glowing toy/necklace/head piece on while a show is running (be it fireworks or an indoor show), so I wanted to make sure I was a courteous as possible to other guests when it was the kids in my party that had the glow toys. I made sure to select items that could be turned off or tucked into bags/strollers while the show was running.

Target often sells one-time-use glow wands with something to stick on top (like a star). I think they were like $3 each (or something like that). They were great for the kids to carry while trick-or-treating, so I would think they'd be fun at DLR too.

My kids love the dollar store glow sticks and glow bracelets. Our local party city also has glow necklaces with characters on them that are a bit more money. I just bring a ton of stuff from the dollar store and they are thrilled. I also found character wands at the dollar store too. For Easter they got Ninja Turtle wands. Have fun! :goodvibes

Walgreens has these really cool disney themed plastic glow stick light things. They are battery operated and have an off switch. 2.99 each.

At the dollar tree I bought the kids disney themed one time use glow stick/wands. They had mickey, minnie, jake and Cars.

At walmart yesterday I found One time use glow stick CROWNS. They were in pink and blue. I bought one of each for my daughter. 1 buck each.

Walmart also had light up swords for the boys 97 cents each and glow stick sunglasses for 50 cents each on clearance.

I've overdone myself with glow things... but since we will be there 5 days this gives us options. :)

I've also bought 2 tubes of 15 glow bracelets from dollar tree. I plan to have the kids pass these out to other little kiddos while we wait. :)

I went to the dollar store and bought a bunch of light up wands, rings, and necklaces. Threw them in my backpack, and worked perfectly. Just buy duplicates, because quite a few
of them are duds.
