I was looking to buy glow stick in bulk. I have seen them at the dollar store and at target, but was hoping to get a lot of them in bulk for cheap. I have also seen them in the oriental trading catalog, but thought there might be someplace out there cheaper. :flower: Also, it is ok to let the kids wear the on the darker rides. My ds2, is afraid of the dark, and I thought this might help. Howeve,r I do not want to be a distraction to others. TIA

I haven't seen them any where in bulk, but the dollar tree really has a good deal on a pack. I don't see a problem with using them on dark rides. Some have posted they take a tiny flashlight. I would think the glow in the dark items would be better and not as distracting. :flower:

I've used Illuminationz.com to purchase glow bracelets in bulk. They also have glow sticks and lots of other glow stuff. I had very good service from them after reading about them here.

I've used berniesglowsticks.com I thought their prices were great and I received my items in three days.

I second that! I've ordered from them for the past two years, and their prices are the best- I have always had great service.

I bought on Ebay (probably overbought is more like it) I got 1,000 for $40 including S&H. I don't know what to do with so many.

oriental trading post magazine and their website is (im pretty sure) orientaltradingpost.com

Ebay, but I don't think you need tons. They last about eight hours each.

Has anyone else ever had trouble buying these before your trip? I bought them one year at walmart and when we went to use them, they didn't work. I don't know if I got a bad batch or maybe the heat from being in the car ruined them (we had a day when switching motels that all of our stuff was in our car while we were at the parks). My DD was very disappointed when I pulled them out as a surprise and they didn't work. Can heat ruin them?

We just placed and order with www.glowmania.net , to stock up for the rest of our trips this year, and they are running 2 specials right now. Free shipping for every order over $75, and 50 - 8" bracelets for every $50 spent. We have used this company several times and have always received excellent service.

I got mine off Ebay, I don't remember how much we paid for them, but we got a 50 pack. They weren't too bad though.

our target have packs of them in the $1 section right now. Glow sticks, glow necklaces, glow glasses, etc.

I bought them in a tin of 100 last December at our local craft store. Worth a try. I think I paid $15 for 100 necklaces. Beware though, I posted on another forum that my 2yr old son bit into a necklace once and it blistered the inside of his mouth. I called poison control center and the said they are non-toxic but will blister the childs mouth.

I bought mine at Costco last year. They were really cheap and they worked good. I think they were $8.99 for 50 of them.
