Glow sticks in the carryon?

We usually check a suitcase when we go to WDW (thank you, southwest and jetBlue, for not charging extra!) but for our next trip will be traveling solely in carry-ons and backpacks. Will we be able to put our glowsticks in our carry-ons or will TSA confiscate these?

No, they are liquids and cannot be carried through security. You could mail/ship them to the resort ahead of time, though.

You can carry on less than 3oz or 100ml of liquid but you have to put them in a clear 1L ziplock bag and remove them from your bag and have them scanned seperately so if they were small enough in theory you should be able to carry them on.

Go to Home Depot or Lowe's. They carry an LED one that is battery powered. It should be in the isle with the flashlights.

They have those at Target as well.

Guess it depends on TSA. We just went to Disneyland with a tube of glow sticks in our carry on luggage and no problem. I also forgot to transfer my nail polish and hair gel to my baggie and those went thru ok too. We weren't questioned on anything.

I also have taken glow sticks in my carry-on luggage and haven't had any problem.

We take them all the time. We put them in our 3-1-1 bags. Never had an issue.

We didn't have any issues taking them either. The fluid in them is under 3 ozs, and I didn't even think to take them out of their tubes. We took several tubes, and never got stopped!
