Glow sticks and other travel items

are those kid glow sticks allowed in packed luggage? How about putting items in old prescription bottles and throwing them in checked bags...will this be okay? Also, I have a lot of items like hairspray, shampoo etc placed in clear travel bottles. Hope this is fine. Finally, I packed some kids snacks and 6 bottles of water...FINALLY, I have 2 of those little freezer baggies that you freeze overnight then place in your cooler to keep water cold. is that allowed on the plane?

You can have all of these in your checked bags. Please remember when packing water and other liquids in checked luggage you can damage others people luggage and property if it leaks. You may want to just order water, otherwise several layers of zip lock bags.

I have the water put in about 6 ziplocked bags...and then in a mini cooler.

I have taken glow sticks in my checked bags. Aerosol sprays are not allowed at all as they may explode. I personally would not take water in my luggage - it is very easy to buy and too risky if it broke open and got everything wet. I do usually take some snack items for my son.

Are you going to Disneyworld or Disneyland? And are you staying on-site? I am a fellow Canadian so knowing which one you are going to, then I could give you better advice. Over the past 3 years, we have been to Disneyland twice and Disneyworld 4 times. We love Disney!

There really aren't any restrictions with regards to what you can have in your checked luggage, if that's what you mean. The restrictions are on what you can have in your carry on bag since you would be able to access it during the flight.

If it shows the hazard warning of explosion then no, you can not have in your checked or carry on luggage. If you check on Transport Canada's website, they have a list of what is allowed and not allowed on flights. Any item that has the hazard warning of explosion is not allowed on any flights though.

If you are flying in from Canada you will have additional restrictions on any food items.
