I was really considering buying some glow bracelets for my DS3 and DS8 for our WDW trip. I like the prices on ...

http://www.illuminationz.com/

Has anyone bought these? How's the quality? Did you get them quickly?

Are there any issues with having these in a suitcase and flying? I figure I'll have to double bag with ziploc bags or something in case of breakage.

Has anyone bought the glow bracelets from Illuminationz.com and have taken them to WDW?

Also, what did your kids think of them?

I buy glow bracelets like these every year for Mardi Gras to throw in our Krewe's parade. I normally buy 1000 at a time. I keep a supply on hand to use for Halloween, Disney trips, any night time party for the kids, etc. They come packaged in tubes of 25 or 50 that are easy to pack in your suitcase. I normally pack them in my carry on still in the unopened tube and have never had any problem. Shelf life is supposed to be 2 years but I never keep them that long. I have found that some colors seem to glow longer than others, green and yellow being the best, white being the worst. The longest I ever had to wait on shipping was 2 weeks. Hope this helps. The kids (including teenagers) really love them.

I bought some at the Dollar Tree last month. They were packaged as 2 necklaces, 2 bracelets for $1!
:flower1:

Thanks Cyndo723. That helps.

For information: They have 100 bracelets for $7.99 and 500 for $27.00 (plus shipping). Seems like a pretty good deal. Dollar tree sounds like a good alternative if you only want to buy a couple. thanks.

I know people get them in that quantity off of ebay as well. We have a company here in town that supplies them for us to sell at events in town, so I just bought from them.

Like I said I buy in bulk because I use so many of them. 1000 for $49.95 including free shipping. Also with the tubes that they come in, you don't have to worry about them being activated accidentally in your luggage. Don't let little ones chew on them though because they can break open and the fluid can get everywhere. It is non- toxic, but a toddler with a glowing mouth is pretty scary. The fluid can also stain fabrics.

I got a Package of 100 of them, I thought Great for our kids Birthday Party and ourCamping Trip and the rest for Disney.. They came in a hard carboard tube, Not a problem with breakage.
They all glowed great, no problems there..
The biggesst problem was that once my kids 7 and 3 saw them for there birthday parthy, About 2 days later I went into my bathroom in the Dark and my kids were sitting in the dark snapping EVERY Glow stick.. So the 80 glow bracelets I had left were gone.. So to answer your question.. Yes Ive gotten there product and its a good product. My Advice is to HIDE them till you get there!!!

I got the assorted pack of 100 bracelets from them and was/am quite pleased! I bought them in March for our trip to WDW in May, but they came so quickly that I really didn't need to order them that early. They came in a hard cardboard tube, the mailing kind. I would suggest keeping them in that container for two reasons: they won't break in there and the light doesn't get to them. I can't even guess how many we used, DD2 had them all over her (and so did I) We handed some out to other kids around us. They were great! Kept her busy until the parade came. We also bought the rings, but the size is too small for my finger (except my pinkie) and too big for her's. I wasn't as impressed with the rings. They came in individually wrapped packages in a ziplock bag. They would be good for a birthday party or something though.
We just used them again on the 4th of July, but we still have some left for some other time. I think it's great to have them around for occasions that "pop up." I have been happy with the quality and especially the price! The bracelets ended up being like 10 cents each. S&H included!

Mel6197 - that is too funny!!!! I could just picture 2 kids sitting there getting them ALL to glow and in walks mom!!! :p

Thanks for your response. I'll probably be buying them. It sounds like a good deal and a good product.

I am so glad you posted this. I always go nuts looking for these things. Now I will buy in bulk also. Yea!!

Thanks! I was just looking at these in the orinetal trading catalog. They are a lot cheaper (bot oout of stocK) at illumincations! I'll have to check back and order them :)

Many years ago my now 25 year old was chewing on his glow stick at a concert we attended at the park. Of course he chewed right through it and it splashed in his eyes.
Being a new young mother I got all upset and rushed hi over to the ambulance. They read the ingredients and saw that it was non-toxic but flushed is eyes out just to make sure he didn't have any glass from inside the tube in his eyes. The saline they used flushed his eyes but didn't remove the glow.
He looked so spooky that night with glowing eyes. And of course his clothes and face glowed too.
We talk about that every time we see little ones with those glow sticks. Peggie

Where do you buy them from?

I get them on E-bay. Lots of different sellers. I've never been disappointed with the quality or speed of delivery.
