All i know is, if she didn't make that decision to sit in the front people would not have done that right. cause and effect right. so your gonna also tell me i can't make a change just because i'm not higher rank. well, you know it takes people to make changes to recieve higher rank. why do you thin we adore rosa park's for her decision? she has become one of the most noble black women in history.i can make a change but it might take time. I don't care how long it takes as long as i can acheive it and i'm not saying that i can do it by myself but just because i'm lowerclass dosen't mean i can't achieve something by myself. i hope you don't tell your children that! are you gonna tell them that they can't make a difference just because they are not high ranked! you go to be kidding me. you are not a very good role model.

What happened. Because Rosa Parks sat in front on the bus, she got arrested which then caused the black community to stand up and move forward with the change.

no offense but if you really think of i they really sort of did it on their own! did u see anyone get up on that stage and give the "i had a dream speech". It was against the law. If the black community didn't claim her a hero, she would be a criminal. I'm not saying what she did was wrong, heck if anything it was incredible.

And the reason she's remembered is because the rest of the community remembered her. If nobody cared, nobody would remember her.

What about the people who protested with sit-ins in Greensboro? What about the Freedom Riders? What about the thousands of people who were beaten by police clubs, tear gas, dogs, high-powered water hoses in Birmingham just to vote? Yes, Martin Luther King Jr. did build up a lot of courage to give that speech, but you're seriously showing your intellectual limits by saying that everyone else was "afraid". When the registrar asked Crawford (a black teenager in the SNCC that began taking black people to the courthouses in their county to vote) if he was scared, he simply said "no".

i know that many people did make a difference and of course they were scared! i would be also. But i would still stand up for my right and freedom. but you told me that not a single, not one person by himself can not make a change because they are "normal" or lowerclass you just told me that it takes a group of people and i'm not gonna say that is wrong. but yes people sometimes work together, but i'm trying to prove to you that one person can make a change, by themselves! even if it something small to something really huge. one person can make a change by starting an organization. You don't always have to sign a petition to do something! like you also said about global warming. you took quotes from a scientist and you telling me he tried not to make a change and tell us about it. but face it the world is gonna change somehow if we continue.

Hun, who ever said I was striving to be ANYBODY'S role model? I'm just being realistic, which obviously you have troubles with. It's not realistic that one person can make a difference that effects the world. It's realistic that if a group of people come together that they can make a difference. The black civil rights movement would've have still gone on even if Rosa Parks hadn't sat in the front of the bus on December 1, 1955. She wasn't the ONLY black person feeling oppression, and she wasn't the ONLY one doing anything about it.

She would be a criminal because it was against the law for blacks to sit in the front of the bus. Just because someone thinks what they're doing is right doesn't mean it's not illegal. Remember, she was arrested for what she did because it was illegal. Over 3200 african americans were arrested for marching and protesting in one year alone.

I never said "lower class". It has nothing to do with class. It has to do with your job. It has to do with your power in society. Joe shmoe can't change the world because he has no power in society, and he's a plummer (or whatever). An organization is a group of people, not a lone person. Sure you can start it, but if you're the only member of your organization, it's not going anywhere.

Look, just because we don't live in lalaland doesn't mean we don't believe in ourselves. We're just realistic. We know the power of our abilities. If I ever got to a higher status than I am now, maybe I would try to make a change, but in my current situation, I can't.
