Global Microsoft Crowdstrike Outage

Banks are down and have gone to back-up systems, which are quite slow so bring your patience and remember it is not the teller's fault. They are just as frustrated as you.

Despite bringing most of the world to a stop, the stock is already apparently recovering from the low induced by the outage.

I will never understand how the stock market works.

My phone has been blowing up with work issues for nearly 3 hours. Of course, I’m off, so I didn’t enjoy being woken up by the chaos. My bigger concern in this moment is airline impact. We have a number of people flying to meet us.

So far I read that Delta, American, United and allegiant have all issued global ground stops.

Welcome to the party West Coast America, it started about 9 hours ago, around 8.30am Uk and Ireland time. UK NHS system in chaos, SKY NEWS went dark, banks and payments systems down, retail unable to process payments, and so much more.

We’re in California for a large softball tournament. United and Southwest would be the primary choices for the bulk of the team. Many of us arrived yesterday, but for the ones flying today… it could be a mess.

I haven't noticed any issues so far.

Morning news here said American was flying out of DCA, not sure if still the case. Just checked, they have flights going all over the country, some United flights going, SW, jet blue, there's a delta flight to Boston delayed a few hours but still scheduled.

Yup...........sure makes me want to have my life revolve around my phone.............NOT !!! Even if this outage didn't mess that up, can sure see that being an issue in the future. Some article said it was a botched software update that caused this problem.

I work for a healthcare organization. work is a poop show right now because of this.

Daughter's flight out of California tonight is delayed.

Her arrival home has shifted by an hour and a half so far.

Guess they aren't going to let us go home. My computer is completely down, can't do anything. It's going to be a interesting day.

I live near the traffic paths of a few airports (LGA, JFK, NWK) and have seen exactly one plane for the day. It was a big one so guessing it was a long distance flight.

My Healthcare group sent out a notice about their systems being affected. My sister said her boss is traveling to Berlin through Heathrow and is now stuck in Heathrow, waiting to get out. Another sister who was traveling this morning said there was some payment issues at Starbucks and people were getting a bit heated about it....
