Global Entry

Does Port Canaveral have Global Entry?
TIA!

I had wanted to know this for my upcoming cruise. I applied last month but I can't get my interview till April 2017!!! So, not happy but at least I don't have to worry about the cruise. Would have been nice for the airports though.:(

I believe there was a discussion about GE interviews on the Transportation forum recently, and I think you can try for different times/places. If you are flying through an airport with GE interview capability, see if there are interviews then. That sort of thing.

Thanks, Bumbershoot, but I did try. In the next 8 weeks, I will be in San Diego, Cincinnati, Nashville, Orlando, and Boise. I also looked within a 5 hour drive of my home. No luck anywhere. Some places said you could do a walk-in and I will try those if it's convenient.

It's so frustrating that they have assigned you a traveler number that you can't use till after the interview. I'm wondering if the airlines will take that into consideration.

I had a scheduled appt at the DC office. The place was DEAD. A man had an appt another day but walked in; he was accommodated. Just have your letter, drivers license and passport. It takes 10 min

Wow! I don't know if the cost and time involved for me to get there is worth it, but, I'm definitely going to check into it. Thanks!

Holy Crap! That's a long time to have to wait. We had our interview done and card in hand even before we received our acceptance letter. Between applying and getting the card it was about 6 weeks.
Hope you can get fit in somewhere. Good luck.

One thing to remember is the Global Entry and/or Pre-Check lines are NOT always open if you do your flights early early morning or late late night. Twice I've been at airports where I was randomly granted Pre-Check, but it was an early early flight and that line wasn't even open.

Yes, that's exactly what I said! My closest center does not take walk ins but I'm hoping the cities I'm traveling to will.

I've noticed that. Where I really wanted it was leaving MCO after my cruise. SWA sometimes gives me the TSA precheck but it's usually leaving my home airport, not returning home from a major airport like MCO, where it would be nice to have.

Don't know how I got my response in your quote, sorry....and don't know how to fix it.

It is been my experience that in airports where the pre-check line is not open, those guests are often invited to use the first class/priority line. That can save a little time also

Wow. In Orlando we applied in May and scheduled an interview for late June (could have been earlier but we wanted a Saturday). Got the cards about a week after the interview.

I'm wondering if I need to bother with the Global Entry for our January 2017 cruise. We have TSA Pre Check (that we have had for a while) but was thinking of changing to GE when these expire. Just wondering if I should do it quickly before our cruise and double up having the TSA Precheck and GE at the same time. It sounds like it isn't worth it though.

It's only beneficial if you will be doing some international travel, or until they implement it at Port Canaveral.
