Anyone have any tips or tricks on finding an interview time for Global Entry? My application was approve in less than 2 days. But now I need to find an interview time. There is nothing available around me without an 8 hour drive or taking a flight to another state. Been refreshing all morning long with no luck.

I think you can take an international flight and do the interview during your return to the US.

Just try looking again in the next few days or weeks. Multiple openings will magically appear.

Managed to find an appointment in San Antonio in a few weeks. So a little over a 3 hour drive.

Keep trying several times a day every day. Like someone said upthread, appts magically appear. Doing that saved me for both my original and my renewal appts.

In GA, they used to take walk-ins - or you can sign up for a cancellation notification - from their current posting:

Getting an Earlier Appointment at Atlanta International Global Entry EC

Sometimes Atlanta International Global Entry EC shows "No appointments available for this location" or the next available appointment might be weeks or months away. What can you do?

People cancel their appointments and new interview times open up all the time. You can continue to check the web site for availability or you can let us do it for you. We'll send you an email alert as soon as we see an earlier appointment. All you have to do is click the link in the email and book your appointment.

Keep checking. I did the application almost a year ago. Kept checking the interview locations and randomly one day the airport close to me opened up. Was able to get an appointment for the next week and approval with in a day or so.

Maybe renewals are different, but we just renewed ours and DH was able to get a virtual appointment.

This was my understanding too, and so I planned on it on the way home from Iceland to Chicago last year. Went to the interview booth and was told nope, you need an appointment. I don't know if that was a covid thing or what, but I had to end up making an appointment elsewhere.

Their page still says Enrollment on Arrival is a thing.

https://www.cbp.gov/travel/trusted-traveler-programs/global-entry/enrollment-arrival

The page even mentions both Chicago airports as compatible with enrollment on arrival. Either it was paused during an earlier part of Covid or the person you spoke with didn't know what they were talking about.

I couldn't get an appt last year, closest was JFK in NY. I tried Enrollment on Arrival in Aruba in July but they told me "no" as well. Finally got an appt while I was in Puerto Rico just before my flight.

We had difficulty making an appointment for our initial interview. We had an upcoming trip to Disney and snagged one at MCO. Good excuse to visit Disney World. 😉

I am in the same boat. I am in NYC and when I first applied, the closest interview location to me was in CT, but I took it. I kept checking, and yesterday I grabbed a slot at a location 20 minutes from me, and for July (not my original date of October). Keep checking and best of luck!

Sounds like they should really update their web page to remove Enrollment on Arrival. Aruba is listed as a country you should have been able to complete the process as your were entering the US there in Aruba.

That is odd We we're told that was an option but didn't want to chance it. Of course that was pre pandemic world!
