Glo Cubes...

Does anyone have pictures of these glo cubes??? a wonderful friend i made on the dis boards recommend we eat at Sci-Fi for the kids and mentioned these ... they seem like cute little souvenirs but i was just wondering what they looked like...

also, i think i am reading there are Glo Cubes and some other type of thing that glows that clips on to the cups...is this right???

Sorry, I don't have a pic but can try and describe: clear plastic squarish cube, small button on the bottom. Each time you press it, it changes color: blue, green, purple, pinkish, then off.

I've seen them in drinks at the Coral Reef & also in the Millenium Martini.

The clips (Tinkerbell, Capt. Hook) are available for purchase to clip.

We got the glowing ice cubes in:

Kids drinks at the Sci-Fi - I think we ordered Shirley Temples.

The Year of a Million Dreams drink (it was blue) - not sure what they have now that the theme has ended.

A few different drinks we purchased on NYE at the Studios.

They're pretty cool - almost make the $8-9 drink price seem more tolerable and different cubes actually do different light patterns/colors.

The clips w/Tinkerbell and Capt Hook were at all the table service restaurants that we went to - kids' Pirates' Punch and I can't remember the name of the Tinkerbell drink.

This is the blue Glowtini at Sci-Fi, taken October 2007. The cubes look exactly like they sound - they are cubes that have a light in them. Ours have three settings, I think, one that is a normal light and two settings of frenetic flashing.

Mine's a star shape and - depending on how many times you press the button - flashes slow, fast or glows a steady blue.

I got it in an enormous drink at the Sci Fi - I think it was a margarita, but it was certainly the biggest drink I've ever seen. I think maybe it was called a Space Invader.

I just bought a set of 2 at the Boardwalk gift shop in January but mine change colour and they get activated when they are wet and when you dry them off they turn off! They were $6.50 for 2. I plan on dropping them in DD's drinks!!

I also bought glo tink there - she's a clip or pin or keychain.

I think all of the glo cubes can change color -- there's a tiny button that you should press to run through the various color combinations.

The do not all change color -- depends on what drink you got it in originally.

3 out of 4 of my glo cubes do not change color -- one is blue only (was in the blue glo-tini from Year of a Million Dreams) One is green only (from a "sunken treasure" drink - that's a green drink) and the other is red only (don't remember what drink that one was in - JUST remembered -- that was in a Kungaloosh from the Adventurer's Club...so sad that's gone.) When I push the button on those, the first push gives a slow fade in/fade out; the 2nd push makes them blink like crazy; the 3rd push just makes them stay on a steady glow, and the next push turns them off.

I do have one that cycles through the different colors...I got that one in a drink from the lounge at The Wave.

The All Star Cafe gave me a football that has a color selection as well as a pattern selection with a button. I believe there were other sports ball shapes too but not 100% sure.
