Glitch stops ride at the WWOHP...

I am amazed that 25% of the responders to the poll at Bay9 wouldn't ride FJ because it broke down.

I completely understand it. I have had a terrible fear of little singing dolls ever since I was on "it's a small world" when the ride stopped. It was traumatizing.

;)

Every ride has mechanical problems which lead to shut downs. Some rides more than others. Rip Ride Rocket has had one mechanical problem after another. However, since Forbidden Journey/Harry Potter came out of its soft opening and officially opened, it has done wonderfully.

I found it interesting how they said the rider who called 911 was separated from the other guests. I guess someone got a little talking to... But if a ride breaks down you and have, say, a panic disorder and braved the ride too I can see how they'd call.

Is it just me or is the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride cursed, first overweight complants on the seats, then the guy who called for help mid-ride, and now its suffering a glitch, maybe Universal should check for Pixie dust inside the control center :lmao:.

It's just you.

Nah, it's not cursed.

As for the "overweight" complaint, I think that should be changed to "oversized". I have a friend who's skinny as a rail, but he's 6'5" and couldn't ride it at all, as the harness wouldn't go over his shoulders.

It's not designed to accommodate big people, in any sense of the word "big".

Maybe some Syltherins jinxed it though

I do find it strange that so many people are unsure about riding now though. I understand how all the negative things can stack up against the Forbidden Journey's reputation.

From what I understand, there are still massive lines for it. So there can't be that many people "unsure" about riding it.

I agree with this.

The ride glitched and triggered a safety feature that stopped the ride. I'm just glad the safety features are in place, since I've had less...comforting experiences on one of the other IOA attractions.

If the news reported every time a ride broke down in the Orlando area, there would be no time for anything else. Heck, Space Mountain would fill newstime often and what about good 'ole Betty the Yeti?

conc - still love your seagull......don't ever remove it. I always stop to watch it....makes me smile!
