Happy to report that at 12:15 Eastern time I was able to get on and book our plans without a hitch.

First off, I did not need A&E..but did get 7DMT exactly when I was hoping :thumbsup2

Booked with times that were in the range we were after (did juggle choices a bit but not much) then went in and tweaked to get them all back to back as needed. It may have even been active before 12:15 but I went to put on my Disney p.j.'s (expecting a long frustrating night of glitchmares )about 12:05. I was done with my selections by 12:30. I kept forgetting to hit the "next" button on the bottom right :rolleyes1 guess I was expecting it to auto-magically go to the next page w/out me hitting next :blush:took my sweet time and tried lots of scenarios, and had to let the dog out lol. If I was cut and dry on my choices it would've prob only taken 10 minutes or so. Anyway, just wanted to give an update that the booking system was doing it's job tonight!:thumbsup2
Now, to just walk away and not mess with things for the next 2 months lol.

Clearly not since I am still on the Boards instead of up snoozing, lol. :rotfl:

I was *going* to get up at midnight and do my fastpasses, but DH suggested that I wait until I got up this morning. (Had I'd wanted A&E FPs, I'd have disregarded his suggestion...)

I was on at about 6:45, and was able to get everything, including 7DMT exactly when I wanted them.

I think, as long as you're not shooting for A&E, you don't really have to be on at exactly midnight.

At any rate, FinFan, I'll see you on the Friday before Labor Day!

:wave2: That's great! I didn't even look at A&E ~ my *kids* (19 &24) will takes rides over character any day, We are content just seeing them out and about or in the parades. I am hoping crowds are going to be ok, we are used to 8-10 days of parks and only 3 full ones over the weekend this time :crazy2: so I kinda wish it was still where the non-headliners had shorter waits, KNIM? I have this feeling we aren't going to get on as much as we would like, maybe at MK during MNSSHP!:woohoo::hmghost::maleficen:ccat:

I agree that there really isn't much of a reason to get up/stay up until midnight, if you're not already a night owl.

I managed to only get (barely) overlapping A&E times right when my window opened at 11 (central time) Friday night. On Saturday afternoon I was playing around and managed to move two of our A&E FP+s to better times, so now all four of us have a 20 minute overlap that fits perfectly with our plans. This allowed me to move 7DMT, which had plenty of availability. I had no problems getting the TSM times I wanted, and in fact, on our second DHS day, I was amazed when Disney's "Best Option" fit our plans perfectly--no changes needed! I suspect that MDE "learned" from our first DHS day to set our times for us, or something, but that's just guess.

My heart dropped this morning when I logged into MDE and under My Reservations, it said my FP+s were gone. But when I went to My Itinerary for the day, they were there. Stupid MDE. I hate it.

:faint:will not look~ will not look ~ will not look~:faint: glad your plans didn't go *poof*...and I am REALLY hoping that since booking was so smooth that it means the actual trip is going to be full of glitches....:scared:

Totally off topic but for some reason I read gluten free instead of glitch free and had to read the post. (I have gluten intolerance so I eat GF). For a few seconds I was trying to figure out how gluten and FPs were connected.

Anyway, very glad to hear you didn't have problems making your ressies. It seems like last week there was problem after problem.

Glad you were able to get it booked the way you wanted. Let's hope Disney doesn't mess with things!!

I see no reason why the window should even open at midnight. The window should open at 7/8amEST...a reasonable hour.

:scared1::scared1::scared1::scared1: So now what ??? Did you get them back ??

They weren't actually gone...they just weren't displaying on one of the MDE screens. When I went to another screen, there they were, and they're all back displaying everywhere now.

The way I think of it is that MDE isn't actually a system for booking anything, it's simply an interface for displaying what you've booked through different underlying reservation systems (resorts, dining, FP+). And sometimes certain pieces of the underlying reservation systems don't display correctly. By reminding yourself that MDE isn't actually the record of your reservation, but just a pretty way of displaying your reservation, you can save yourself a lot of stress. This morning, I got this red warning that said to call for help since the FP+ reservations were "gone." Instead, I just clicked through to a different part of MDE, and there they were. I saved myself a ton of stress and probably a long phone call because I knew that my FP+s were there, even if MDE was being stupid about displaying them. I just looked somewhere else in MDE, and there they were.

Let's say you have a dining reservation that you booked over the phone. If you don't ever link it to MDE, does that mean you don't have a reservation? Not at all. All it means is that MDE isn't displaying your reservation. The reservation exists even if MDE isn't showing it. I think of FP+ the exact same way.

Okay good, that makes perfect sense. My stomach just totally dropped when I read that you lost them. Holy cow! what a relief!!!!
