Glendmax Bday Trip w/DISers and HOT Men!

I honestly thought I was about to be  !
How the heck are ya?

I am doing well. how are you? I had so much fun with you guys. i also disliked the beverly, but it took me about 10 seconds before I really got that bitter flavor.. it is like ginger ale on steroids... :rotfl2:

When is your next trip to the world? I am going for Thanksgiving, but my Mom suprised me with a trip to Italy in September, so I have no idea when I will be back to my favorite place... I know I should be thrilled to be going to Europe.. but every time someone asks me where I would like to go on vacation... I say Disney World. It might be a year before my next trip :(

OMG Glenda!!! You are one popular girl!!! After finding your report this morning, I couldn't wait to get home from work & start reading! WOW...it's up to 8 pages!!! OK...first thing...how sweet is MM's DH to suggest a girls trip for the 2 of you!::yes:: That's great. NO PECAN PIE...how could they?? I did notice how you mentioned your new "beau". SO.......when did this happen, what's he like, does he look like Seal, is he aware of your Disney addiction????? :confused3 Should I say the extent of the addiction?:lmao: Seriously, I hope you're happy & he is one lucky man!!!:thumbsup2 You said he's better looking than that cute guy in the RnR line, so he must be a fine man. Oh, back to the report..:rotfl2: Did you trick MM into tasting Beverly??? That reaction was priceless! You looked cute in that dress!!!! I loved it! Loved the English lady at Fantasmic. How cute was that! All the hot men...:rotfl2: how funny! Sounds like you & MM had quite the time! Can't wait for the next installment!:hyper:

It was great to meet you as well!! OMG, Italy??? That's probably 3-5 years away for me. LOL. You are one lucky girl!:thumbsup2 But, I know how you feel about wanting to go to WDW. We are going to DLR in September for a full week (DH is from Cali). I probably won't be back until July 09. LOL. I complete my master's degree in March so I will want DH to take me somewhere special but he probably won't go for WDW. :rotfl2:
Upon your return from Italy, please give me details b/c that is a future option for us!

OK...first thing...how sweet is MM's DH to suggest a girls trip for the 2 of you!::yes:: That's great.

Ahhh...thanks. He's a great, great guy! But he missed me just as much so I don't think he will be suggesting any more trips in the near future! :rotfl2: He said if I ever go again, he is going down too but will do his own thing with DD while I'm with the girls!:rotfl: He missed his sweetness. :lmao:

Ah! I cant believe I just found this, but it is GREAT so far!! I hope you took lots of AKL(V) pics! I'm doing a split stay there in august!

I started reading you're report because the title piqued my interest...little did I know then! :lmao:

How funny they were all gay! I so would have sat and looked for an hour with y'all! :rotfl:

Loved the part with the little English lady..that was a sweet thing to do! :goodvibes

Really enjoying your report and looking forward to more!:thumbsup2

Before I started the next part, I HAD to reply to some of you first! And also, I really had no intention of going back to WDW in June while it was sooo hot and crowded, but if some of you really wanna go, then maybe we can find out the gay men's schedule for next year, and gawk together! popcorn::

GlendaMax I just noticed that we are arriving on the exact same day in Sept! Where are you staying? If I see you can I have a picture w/ you? haha :rotfl2:
Sept. 6-13th @ Animal Kingdom Lodge
I hope we do hook up and get some pics! FYI, I will look fat and greasy, but who cares!!!

Gmax & MM -- Here is a picture of my cousins with the beverly... lol

Well since I've given him the link to this report (and it's only been a few months), I will have to be careful about what I say! Don't wanna scare the poor man off!

I met him through a friend, he's 6'3" - so with me being 6 feet, this is a PLUS!
He has dread locs, a wonderful smile, and infectious laugh. Should we stay togther through next year, I hope to take him to WDW for a few days. So we'll see! OH and yes, I have revealed my Disney secret. I think I waited till about a month into it. And fortunantly, he didnt think I was a weirdo. But I think it helps that my house does NOT look like the World of Disney, or Mousegears!!!

Ok - now I gotta get to the next installment! :surfweb:

Day 3- Sunday, June 8th

Inspite of our late night with all the HOT men, MadiMouse (MM) and I woke up very rested. Today we had to pack up everything, drop our bags off at bell services - to have them transported to the Animal Kingdom Lodge (AKL) and be at the Animal Kimgdom park (AK) by rope drop. OH!!! I forgot to mention that MM and I have the same set of lugguage: burgundy Samsonite!

Fortunantly, not only were we running on time (even with waiting for MM to apply her immaculate make-up for the day - see MM I DID mention it! HA!), but we were EARLY! We said good-byes to our wonderful room that was soooo close to the bus stop, and headed out! When the AK bus got there, we were the only ones on it. As we were on our way to AK, we could see AKL in the distance. So I asked the bus driver if he could just drop us off there. He said that he had to check. So I said that I forgot about the GPS, that they're being tracked. He was surprised that I knew this. I told him that I figured with the announcements, and music being timed on the shuttle, that his movements were being tracked too. He then pulled the bus over, made a call, and got permission to drop us off. He said that people never believe him, when he says he can't go off the route, just because THEY want him to. He was so nice to us, we thanked him, and I took his pic!

IMG_2259.jpg

We checked in at AKL, and got our keys, but of course the room wasnt ready, but at least it was done! And it was sooo good seeing that lobby again!

After a quick pit stop to the Ladies', we were out the door and still on schedule!!! WOO-HOO!!! We made our way to the shuttle stop, and waited, and waited, and waited, and WAITED!!!!! Good Grief! Now all the time we made up was for NUFFIN!!! We didn't get to AK till 9:15! I LOVE that rope drop, so I was mad that I missed it!!!

When we FINALLY got to the park, I didnt even stop to try to get a pic by the sign, nor take any on the way in. I HAD to get to EVEREST!!!! The ride that both scares and thrills me!!!

Fortunantly, the wait wasnt long. And I managed to enjoy my time in line and take pics without my stomach hurting thinking about my DOOM!

I love the part of the line that's like you're walking through a museum:

I was really enjoying my time in line till I got to this part:

IMG_2268.jpg

IMG_2272.jpg

It's here that I had to have a little talk with myself: Gmax, you've been on this before. You even liked it enough that you got a Fast Pass the last 2 times you were here to get on again. Don't act a fool!!! You actually LIKE this ride! BREATHE! Don't pass out! Look . . . there are even LITTLE kids getting on this!

We board the train, and I'm praying: "Jesus, please don't let me get sick, please don't let me feel like I'm going to die. Jesus PLEASE don't let me regret getting on this!"

As we're climbing the hill, I pretend that I'm just watching a video on Youtube, and appreciate the view - the train stops - it starts to go backwards - "The Lord is my Shepheard I shall not WAAAAAANNNNNTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!"

I SKA-REEEEM during the backwards part, but I don't feel sick, or as if I'm dead but can still sense everything around me. I'm actually ok! The worse is OVER!!!!!! I've even figured out that on the one (and thank God ONLY) drop on the ride, if I hold my butt up out the seat just a Leeeetle bit, my stomach doesnt drop as much. So I do that, and actually kept my eyes OPEN going down the hill!!!! Yes, I'm IS a big gurl now! :snooty:

When we get off and I'm walking through the gift shop, I wanted to stop everybody and say "No, I didnt just stand in line WITH her, I got on too! AND I kept my eyes open on the drop . . .See . . . look . . . there's my pic on the screen"! I wasnt able to get a shot of the ride photo this time, but that's ok, I'd done it!!!!! :snooty:

On the way out, we even got Fast Passes to do it again!!!!

IMG_2291.jpg

And now that the worst was over, I even stopped to have our picture taken!

IMG_2286.jpg

Up Next: Dinosaur!!!!!

Day 3 cont.

Now that the worst was over - Everest was conquered - it was time for some fun! DINOSAUR!!!!!!

IMG_2278.jpg

The walk over was pretty nice, since it wasn't AFRICA HOT!!!!

IMG_2273.jpg

IMG_2274.jpg

Then we'd reached our destination!!!!!

IMG_2275.jpg

And how 'bout a DISbonus Pic . . .

IMG_2276.jpg

Before we got on though, I had to see if I was tall enough to ride. After all, I didnt want to fall out of the Time Rover!!!!

IMG_2279.jpg

I MADE IT!!!!!!! We went inside the air conditioning HEAVEN! I guess this Dino was hot too!

IMG_2280.jpg

IMG_2281.jpg

I always get so excited when we walk down the stairs to get into the vehicles!

The ride was GREAT! I was surprised that it didn't scare me as much as it usually does though.

Afterwards, we got on "Tough Being a Bug". I'd skipped this the last 2 times, so it was a treat! I felt so sorry for the crying kids though. I know that I couldnt make it through that if I were little! My arms would be LOCKED around my Mother's neck!

Then it was back to Everest! Where I did well again! EYES OPEN!!! :bitelip:

IMG_2295.jpg

MM giving the "thumbs up"!

IMG_2296.jpg

Finally we got something to eat at Pizzafari. This was my first time there.
I had the Hot Italian Style Sandwich with Chips (Turkey, ham, Swiss and Provolone Cheese topped with Caesar salad and pesto marinated tomatoes - $7.09). It was VERY good. I believe MM took a pic of all our food. I was too hungry to pull my camera out!

We then went to see the Nemo show! I LOVE this!!!!!

IMG_2299.jpg

IMG_2301.jpg

I think it's AWESOME how the actors can control the puppets, sing, move, and talk all at the SAME time! They are soooo talented.

IMG_2317.jpg

IMG_2315.jpg

IMG_2308.jpg

IMG_2307.jpg

I took a BILLION video clips, but here's just one. This is my favorite song, and singer, in the whole show!

Once again, I left the show wondering if I would be in the "biz" if I'd kept persuing theater. I LOVE musical theater! Fortunantly, MM really liked the show too.

On the way out, it was still a bit early - 1pm. MM asked what were we going to do since the room probably wouldn't be ready. I said "SIT"! I had NO MORE GAS left, and just needed to relax. So guess what I did when we got to the bus stop . . .

IMG_2321.jpg

Here's MM below . . .

IMG_2322.jpg

Here's me . . .

IMG_2323.jpg

I was REALLY glad that we were on our way to my Disney Home, AKL! All I could think about was going to sleep, and having about a MILLION dreams! HA!

Up Next: Checking into the Animal Kingdom Lodge!
Go to Page 12!

I love your trip reports!! It looks like you two had a great time in AK. I conquered Everest too, but my eyes were definitely CLOSED on that drop.

I was cracking up over here about your gay hotties! :rotfl: All the hot ones are always gay.

Awesome!! I was waiting to see if you had taken another Dinosaure picture :rotfl: You are going to be able to do a whole album of those!

Yeah, and I think it was her fiercest one yet!!!

I rode Everest once, and I think that might be the one that I say I won't do again. It was a little rough, I thought. Yet, something in me wants to do it one more time before I make up my mind for good. Coulda just been a bad day for me that day I rode it. I don't know. We'll see what happens this trip. We're supposed to be in Animal Kingdom on Monday afternoon, so I have until then to think about it.

Hope the guy friend turns out to be a wonderful part of your life!

Thanks for making my morning so much fun! The hot men, the bus ride ~ just hilarious. I am SO glad that you rode Everest, I was in suspense wondering if you would. That ride is AWESOME!

I am the opposite of you. This past trip was the first time I was brave enough to do Space Mountain. And I really wanted to try everest and RnRc (but this one was rehabed in Sept) also...I am not a roller coaster person. Well I was brave and went on SM....after that I told DH no more...I am not going on it again (it is jerky) and no more roller coasters (even though I can handle Thunder Mountain Railroad and Splash MOuntain)...so I refused to go on Everest. DH had to go by himself and he said I probably wouldn't have liked it anyways. And I always have to have my eyes closed...or else I would be sick. I told him next trip with be with kids...so I will just sit out with them if they are too small while he rides...or if they are big enough...probably sit out by myself. :rotfl2: I'm such a chicken!:lmao:

EE and Space Mountain are two COMPLETELY different animals. You really should try EE, it's fun. Even ask Glenda :)

Now, this is when I started getting homesick for my DD and DH. I hated down time on this trip b/c I kept thinking about my baby, Madi!! Sorry Glenda. Nothing personal, just a mommy missing the loves of her life! ;)

AWWWW, that's so sweet :goodvibes

but don't worry it passes  Just wait a few years, and you'll really enjoy your time away :rotfl:

Gmax, another great update! Love the pic of you & MM after Everest! You both look so awake :goodvibes I was waiting for Dino pics and you didn't disappoint :thumbsup2

Have a great weekend!

Loved the AK report. Pics and videos were great. Loved seeing inside Dino as I've never done that ride. I've been told how rough it is and my back wouldn't take it, so it was great getting to see a video of the queue! :thumbsup2 I did Everest last trip, but not sure if I will this trip or not. It was not a favorite. I do like RnRC, but not Space Mountain although I'm not sure why.

Looking forward to the next part. Hope to see more pics from AKL. Never been there yet, but we've got ADR's at Boma for breakfast so we'll see it this time. ::yes::

Oh Glenda, I'm literally :rotfl2: The last couple installments were about a bazillion different shades of FUNNY! I'm trying really hard to restrict my multi-quotes and replies here...

Well, MM and I decide to sit and watch the guys for a minute. Then here they come . . . the MOTHER LOAD . . . SHUTTLE BUSES! Oh, yes, MM and I REALLY made ourselves comfortable then.
popcorn::
LOADS AND LOADS of some of the most attractive, well dressed, good smelling men that you have EVER seen in your life!!! We were stunned! I have NEVER seen men that attractive in my REAL life EVER!!! I'm talking all heights, races, Nationalities, and languages.
ALL OF THESE FINE MEN ARE GAY!!!!!
:( Ain't it always the way?!

OMG, this whole segment had me cracking up! :lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
After awhile we even called DISer Lan to see if she wanted to come next year on Gay weekend and follow the guys around from park to park. She said "YEAH"!!!! HA! So there is a chance that there may be an all girls trip next year to Gay Weekend to stare at men we can't have!
Why, why, WHY has this never occured to me?! I live less than 2 hours away - I've been missing out all these years! :faint:

One thing I will tell is, the driver said that some of the most interesting runs are from Downtown Disney at close.
Oh yeah, I've been on that bus - I can vouch for the scariness!

"The Lord is my Shepheard I shall not WAAAAAANNNNNTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!!"
:lmao: :rotfl2: :rotfl: But YOU DID IT!!!! :cool1:

Hee hee, I love your annual-ish Dinosaur pics!

Up Next: Checking into the Animal Kingdom Lodge!
:yay:

We'll see if I have the courage next time...good thing I got a couple of years to talk myself into it.
