way to go Glenda I wouldn't be able to do it!!!
Thanks! I was REALLY nervous!

Very nice Glenda, but aren't you worried about being cold untill they grow in.
That's why I did it now. It wont get REALLY cold for about 3 months. When it does, I'll wear some fly hats!

Really neat photos. :thumbsup2 Thanks for sharing. I have a couple of friends with "dreads" but I never saw them at the beginning.
Me either. I never knew that people who hair looks like mine, were starting Locs. I was AMAZED at the number of videos on Youtube with people getting it done, and following the progress.

NO WAY!!!! Cutting my hair off on yesterday was enough adventure for the rest of the year!!!!

I've never seen dreads at the start either, and I had a few high school friends with them. Thanks for the pics! :thumbsup2

Oh, that's cute! It even has the DISer lime green trim. Since I have my own pink Croc bag and don't need to snitch yours anymore, I'll just snitch this new one. Glenda, you're still going to help me aren't you? Seriously, Amanda where did you find that? It's adorable!

By the way, I finally got all my jibbitz into both Croc bags. However, looking at them, I don't think I like them all that well. My little Overland Donner Placer bags seem more organized. They are smaller and still hold alot. I may wind up carry one of them instead of the Croc bags.:confused3

Hi, and welcome Kris!

I found it on Ebay!!!

Hey everyone. Sorry I have been MIA. Both kids have been sick.

I am ready for a vacation!!

Were you just describing our lunch at Pecos Bills :lmao:

Morning everyone!! 19 days to go:banana: What an exhausting weekend!! I lost internet so I am lost (what did we ever do without it?) Yesterday my brother and I had proffessional pictures taken on the beach as a suprise for my mom and then went to the casino...where I lost $13:rotfl:

Debbie I hope you feel better!!

Hello all...stopping in to say hi. I've been following the thread, but nothing to post from me. Sitting here at work getting pounded by a tropical storm and trying to decide if I need to make the call to send everyone in the office home early. Schools are closed, federal workers are off, and we're bunkered down for a very wet and very windy few days. Compared to our 5 hurricanes a few years ago, this'll be nothing...but 20+ inches of rain and 40-50MPH squalls still makes commuting to and from work a pain - so I'm watching the weather radar, and if sending everyone home a little early avoids a big squall line, then I'll make the call. For now, we're all at work!

You are more concerned about chatting on the Internet than the safety of your employees?  You've got to be kidding. :headache:

Uh.. they're watching the weather for their employees. Stopping to write a 20 second post hardly means they are more concerned about posting here than their employees.

There's many jobs that wouldn't even consider sending their employees home unless they were made to. :scared:

Hot link to the NOAA live doppler is sitting on my screen, and the 11am advisory notice was just dropped into my e-mail. I'm keeping an eye on the squall bands as they come through. While at work, my internet time is whenever I'm sitting on hold waiting to get through to a financial or insurance company (unfortunately, hold times can be 15-20 minutes). But I'm not the big boss - I'm just the designated weather watcher mostly because I'm a weather geek and science nerd. :) If I tell the boss to let 'em go, he'll empty the office.

So far, we've had thunderstorms worse than anything we're getting today, so no worries yet. Later tonight and tomorrow morning are supposed to be worse - so we'll have to see how it goes later today and whether we'll be closed tomorrow.

Besides...I've got the longest commute to work by far - 45 minutes - everyone else is 5 minutes away or less! :-)
