We stayed out in Vistapark on the 27 last year, and enjoyed the area...thought we would give Glenbrook a try

My uncle has a home there, which we rented at a good price. It is about 15+ minutes to Sherbeth rd unless some traffic snafu bites you. The homes are quite new. There is a light at the intersection w/ 27, making the left turn easy even during prime time. There is a grocery store nearby with decent selection, a super walmart a bit further down 27, and a couple of drugstores on the corner.

Next time, we'll probably try to stay a bit closer, but we'd be happy with that location again. Unless you are dealing directly with an owner, you could probably stay closer for the same money, albeit in somewhat older housing stock.
