Has anyone been there before? We will be attending a wedding there on the 23rd, and I was curious as to how 'swanky' the place is.

Do I need to start practicing keeping my elbows off the table? ;) :D

Have not attended there but don't you think if the hold the Canadian Open there, it would be swanky?

If it's a private club then for sure!

Don't forget to practice keeping your nose up also!LOL

And your little finger raised, too Kim, when drinking your tea (Long Island, that is ;) )

By the looks of the club house, I'd say it was on the swanky side.

Scroll though these pictures for one of the club house: HERE

I'll have to let you know where it ranks on the 'Swanky Scale'. :smooth:

Very cool link, Julie, and so green!! ;) :p :D

I was thinking that your DH might have been there before. :D

At least I don't need to buy a new dress, I can finally wear one of my cruise outfits!!! :bounce: No, not the pirate one......:teeth:

In the restaurant part by the clubhouse they have buffets on the weekends. We received a gift certificate to attend for an anniversary gift. VERY NICE. Not too over the top but the food was excellent. We thoroughly enjoyed it.

Cheers,
Grumbo

It is a very pretty room but not at all pretentious.

And it's very nice...but as mentioned, not pretentious.

I think elbows are always best off the table anyway!::yes::

I'll try my best, minnie56! ;)

I'm looking forward to the good food, Grumbo, and you're right Damo, the room is very pretty! Thank you for the nice pic! :)
