GLEE live!

Did anyone else hear that the cast of GLEE was following suit to american idol and touring for a GLEE Live concert? DH & I defintely want to go! So, I'm trying to decide if it would be appropriate for our DDs ages 8 & 6. I don't let them watch the show, theres some obviously stuff thats a little old for them, but I would think the concert would be ok, don't you?

I heard but they are only going to four cities (can't remember which ones at the moment). So if your lucky enough to live in or near one of these cities that is great.

It's only going to be in New York, Chicago, LA, and Phoenix.

It sounds like it will just be the singing and dancing, so I think it would be okay for your girls?

I was ecstatic, until I saw the cities list. Sorry but I do not consider 4 cities a tour. More like a few appearances. At 6 & 8 I think anything that might be too old for them in the dance/music area would probably just go over their heads anyway. I would take them if you are lucky enough to be in one of the 4 cities.

Can't wait! My friends and I are already planning on buying our tickets for one of the Chicago shows. AND its the two days before we graduate high school I can't wait for May!!

I'm so excited. I got my tickets for the 5/26 Chicago show through the presale today. For whatever reason, I couldn't get 4 tix together, but after I purchased 2 and went back to find an additional 2, they ended up being right next to each other. Unfortunately I still had to pay the processing fee twice. Oh well. The presale tickets went very quickly and I was only able to get balcony, but I'm happy with that since it's a small venue.

Nothing! DH tried all morning to get nothing. And big surprise there are tickets all over stub hub- scalpers. Makes me so mad. I don't know if it's worth $200 a ticket for us to go.

I got 2 tickets for the 1st chicago show...way in back on lower level, but I'm excited to go! So, I had asked our DDs and since they don't watch the show, neither wanted to go. Thats ok, night out for DH & me now.

Today was just the Amex presale. yuo or your DH should try again next week for the regular sale. a few tips from someone who will only pay face value for tickets:

make sure to get on to the ticketmaster page 20-30 mins before the tickets are suppose to go on sale

make sure to log onto your ticketmaster account

at 1 min to the on sale time hit the f5 key don't click to refresh the page. hitting f5 saves a few seconds but it's those seconds that count! keep hitting f5 until you can choose the number of tickets. the good thing with f5 is that it doesn't make the page go to the top like when you have to scroll to refresh.

select your qty and then enter the code words

while it's thinking be patient. don't hit refresh or back. you will lose your place in line.

this is what i have done and i have managed to get tickets for everything DD has wanted to go to and only at face value (with those annoying fees).

My last bit of advice is to NOT have multiple ticketmaster windows open trying to find tickets on the same computer. ticketmaster can detect this and it will bounce you out and tell you that you have to close one of the windows. you can have another window open on another computer but not multiple windows on one computer.
