in Catsaway Cay. Anyone done this? With kids? Was it fun? Any info would be great thanks.

I posted this earlier and it didn't post for some reason...I would like to know if you've been on other glass bottom boats in the Caribbean is it worth it?

We havnt done the glass bottom boat at CC but saw lots of happy families with little kids getting off the boat.
We did do the Sunshine glass bottom boat at Nassau and enjoyed it very much.
I'm sure disney's would be good too.

We did this tour on our March 2005 cruise, our boys 5, 7 and 11 really liked it, they got to feed the fishes and for us parents it was nice to see CC from a distance and learn abour all the info. The weather was miserable so yes it was a nice change...I don't think I would do it again but I'm glad I did and the kids had a good time so....

my kids will be 9, 3 & 1, do you think it will be good for them?

I also would be interested in hearing more about this excoursion. My mom and dad want to take my 16 mo. old on it. I am sure that it would be very interesting to see Castaway Cay from a distance.

I have absolutely no info about kids, but my 80 something mom and aunt did this excursion at CC and really enjoyed it. They said they saw lots of different fish.

We did the glass bottom boat Jan 2005. The kids, 3, 5, 6 all enjoyed it because they got to feed the fish. The boat gets pretty rocky so if you get seasick rather easily, I would avoid it. There were fish but the day we took the excursion, there wasn't anything spectacular. If I remember correctly, they take you to a couple of spots where they know fish congregate and you stay at each site for about 10 to 20 minutes. Much of the time is travelling to those sites but it gives you a good overall view of the island and the ship in the background. They provide some good information about the history of CC and it seemed that everybody enjoyed the excursion. There were probably around 30 people on the boat. I would not do it again though.

We did this in May 2004. DS and DH liked it OK, but I couldn't wait to get back to land (seasick even with the bonine). This is something that I wished we would not have signed up for. We did it first thing off the ship and lost valuable beach time, not to mention all of the hammocks and 'good' beach chairs were already taken. We had done the Atlantis sub excursion in Cozumel which was very enjoyable, which made this excursion a waste of time for us.

We did this tour last October and enjoyed it. I loved riding in the boat to the "fishy" locations and we got to feed the fish instant oatmeal. Didn't know that they loved it so much! My 6 year old grandson had a good time but since I have done it once, I probably won't do it again. Would like to do the stingray activity next time I cruise to CC.
