I recently read on a FB group about a paid glass craft (for a lack of better words?) that was offered at Glaskunst in Germany at EPCOT. Google only revealed it was done during a festival, does anyone know if this is something offered year round and have any more info?

We did one over spring break 2 weeks ago. We haven't gotten it yet because they send it and mail it to you.

Thanks!! I think my 9yr old would love it! Something a little out of the norm!
It's funny I forgot about it until your post. Ours actually came in the mail today. I posted a pic of it below. It's not the greatest because it's a clear plate but you get the idea.
This sounds neat! Does anyone have a link to more details? Is it something that needs to be booked in advance?
They have different pieces- ornaments, coasters, magnets, trinket dishes and large dishes, which is what we made. They have different sizes, shapes and colors of glass to use. They also have different decals. We chose the Disney 100 and 2023. They have characters too. You don't have to book in advance, you just walk up. It takes about 30-45 minutes to make. When you are done they send it out to get finished and they mail it to you. They told us it would take up to 8 weeks to get back but we were shocked to get ours back today- 2.5 weeks later.

is this glass project in Germany in Epcot year round or just at the arts festival? Would love to do this in September

I wanted to give some extra info about this since it sounded really interesting.

In mid-May, the location to do the projects was in a kiosk by the water and not inside Germany.

The kiosk is pretty tight and you need to stand to do the project - it seems like more than one group doing the project at a time would be unpleasant. I was trying to look and understand the options while someone was doing one, and it felt there wasn’t a whole lot of room. It also was outdoors, so not air conditioned.

I thought it might be a nice break and way to get out of the crowds and heat, but the location made it impossible.

I just wanted to share in case this helps anyone considering it. The idea is awesome and the finished products look nice, but it’s not a seated or air conditioned activity.

I’m glad you bumped this. In the span of 3 whole weeks I completely forgot about it 🤣
