Glasgow with kids

Planning on going to Glasgow next month for a weekend with the kids
anything not to miss,
we will be taking the ferry over from Belfast so any where nice to stop on the way up too

unsure what age you kids are but the Glasgow Art Galleries was re-opened by the Queen a couple of months ago and its a lovely place to visit (free to)

transport musuem is right across the road from it and also free

having said that its even a nice place to go for teenagers

shopping in Glasgow is now really nice as is the restaurants

havea good time

There is also the people's palace in Glasgow Green - a museum detailing the history of Glasgow and its famous sons and daughters. Well worth a visit! And free as well I might add

What about the Glasgow Science Centre?? It's not free though (or cheap), but my two DS's love it - especially the IMAX cinema!!
Definitely try and get to the Kelvingrove Art Galleries and the Transport Museum.

As for stopping on the way from the ferry terminal - you could try Girvan. It used to be a busy seaside town - it still has a nice harbour area though, or there is Ayr. Both have nice fish and chips!!
