Just off the 4-Day Wonder cruise, where they upgraded me from deck 5 cat 11 to deck 2 cat 9. I wondered, but now we're soooo glad we took it!

Midships deck 2 is a G-R-E-A-T location. Just up one flight to Tritons and the Disney Theater, a short walk down to Parrot Cay. Simple walk down to deck 1 for getting off at Nassau and Castaway Cay. It was really nice being near enough to the water to watch the 12' waves we had today. The midship elevator is great for access to deck 9 for the pool, Common Grounds, etc.

Thanks for all the advice, and what a great trip.....

Glad you had such a wondrful trip!! Im jealous my first Disney cruise isnt till nov. Can you tell me what you did in Nassua?? Were planning on taking our own cab to Atlantis and explore over there. Thanks for the help!

Everyone is always so hesitatant about staying on Decks 1 and 2 and I am always so happy when I read that their fears were unfounded!!! Those are my favorite decks and I have stayed on just about all the decks in our 9 DCL cruises.

I am a big fan of Decks 1 and 2 and hope more people experience how convenient it really is to be on those decks!!!

an upgrade from cat11 to cat 9, especially on a 4 day cruise, is really not that expensive....But, you get the benefit of the great split bathroom, as well as a huge porthole window...

What cabin were you in? I'm booked in a category 9 deck 2 for the 4 day wonder on 3/14.

We were in 2574. Could not have been a better location, at least for us. As we waked both ways down the hall we would pass through an area with definite engine sounds, and those might be bothersome to some (they would have been to us).

Our location, though, was absolutely quiet. Our cabin steward was the best! Always there, always ready to help with anything or just talk, towel animals all the time, and always smiling. We were a short step from the midship stair/elevator. We walked up a short flight to Triton's for our two dinners and for breakfast. Parrot Cay also there, as well as the entrance to the theater. For longer trips, the elevator has by far the best views out the glass elevator shafts in the midship runs.

We were facing away from Nassau, but toward Castaway Cay. You might want the opposite hallway if you want to watch Nassau. Of course, if another cruise ship docks closer to Nassau then you wouldn't have a view anyway.

We'll ask for that room again. Great price (cat 9), great view, great location.
