GKTW Trip Question

We will be staying at GKTW June 24-30 and I'm wondering how much money we should bring. We plan to eat b-fast there and hopefully dinner most nights as well. Any advice would be great! I have no clue how much we'll need - oh, there are 5 of us - me, DH, dd12, dd11, and dd5.

I volunteer at GKTW - you won't need money for your stay at the Village, just for souvenirs and food and such at the parks. So it depends if you do counter service at the parks, table service, etc. I'd probably budget a total of $100 per day or so for everyone, if mostly eating counter service and buying snacks (that is, if you are having breakfast and dinner at the Gingerbread House). More if you are eating dinner at the parks. I am a pretty cheap eater, but it depends on what all you are getting.

There is so much to do at the Village - like mini-golf, etc., so you can just stay there some days also, a lot of the kids like to do that!!!! And you can get all the ice cream you want!

We stayed at GKTW in 2005 and it was awesome! They will provide breakfast and dinner. They also have an ice cream shop which is free for guests. You will need money for lunch and snacks in the parks as well as souvenirs. Our local MAW chapter gave us some money for lunch. I used this to take the boys to several character buffets in the parks. I made these reservations before we left home since they are usually booked. These buffets can be expensive, but the boys really enjoyed them. You can go to www.allearsnet.com and click on dining and look up some menus for the counterservice and character meals. This will give you an idea of prices.

Hey! That's the week we will be at GKTW!! How cool is that?!?!

Our local chapter stated they are going to give us an "allowance" for food and that we really shouldn't need to bring a penny with us to GKTW. You might want to check with your wish grantors to see. We are supposed to be getting our "stuff" on Wednesday. We are sooo excited!

We are a family of four. Me, dh, ds4, and dd3. Ds is our wish kid and he'll turn five while we are at Disney!!
