I've been reading a lot about wish trips to GKTW and I haven't seen it stated directly but, from what I gather, this is kind of like a cruise. Everyone shows up on Sunday and everyone leaves on the following Saturday. Everyone gets the same ticket package, 3 days WDW, 2 days US, and 1 day SW.

Is this correct?

Can you upgrade the WDW tickets to more days?

ETA: what I meant by "kind of like a cruise" is that your trip is from Sunday to Saturday and is the same for everyone else staying there. Families don't arrive and depart on various days but arrive on Sunday and depart on Saturday. On a cruise, everyone shows up on the boat on the same day and they all leave the boat the same day.

Give Kids the World is a place to stay when granted a wish through an organizations such as Make a Wish. It is not a cruise, they are little houses with themes when the entire family can stay. The tickets are not upgradeable (unless they have changed) because they are donated or obtained at very reduced rates to the atractions. The WDW tickets we got were 1 day one park tickets and yes, we got 3 each. This facility GKTT, is a way for the wish organizations and the families receiving the wishes to hold down costs. GKTT also has meals, much of it being donated by Perkins.

And yes, all families check in on a Sunday and leave the following Saturday. you are only given a week there. You can stay longer in Fl (of course) but it will be at your own expense. In that respect it is like a cruise.

I wasnt aware of everyone coming in and leaving the same day. My MAW person told me that we can arrive on a Monday and we will be staying at GKTW. I know that if you want extra days that you have to do it on your own expense and for your hotel and meals for the extra days is what I heard. Is your family going November? We are planning our trip sometime in the first two weeks of November.

Families don't all arrive on the same day. We arrived on a Monday and left on a Sunday. Every night they have an orientation meeting for the parents where they will explain the schedule at GKTW ( all kinds of special activities) and the tickets that are available. They sometimes have tickets to other attractions like Medieval Times. If the wish child wants more days at WDW instead of any other parks, this is something that she should tell her wish coordinator to see if it would be possible.

The tickets issued by GKTW are marked as compassion/complimentary and cannot be upgraded as their value is zero.

The others are right, you can arrive whatever day works for you. You are just limited to how long you can stay. You can make arrangements to stay longer at a different place but you will have to pay for it and get it approved by MAW. The ticket package you mentioned is correct but they also offer admission to other places if you are interested. The only one I can remember is Cape Canaveral. Karen
