O.K. DH and I bowed to the veranda pressure and are switching our SPH ressies to a category 6 veranda. We decided for us it's worth the additional $$$. We were just trying to be conservative, but we got spoiled by our veranda on our first cruise. I just can't imagine not being able to open my veranda door and feel the ocean air rush into the cabin. So if anyone is waiting for 5520 one of the BEST SPH's for this cruise, it's going to be open as soon as I get my e-mail back from Dreams!!!

I know with switching to a different room, you won't get a refund, but does anyone know how DCL can CHARGE the deposit instantaniously, yet a refund takes THREE MONTHS to receive? Seems to me that when a room is cancelled, DCL out to be able to give the money back almost as quickly as they take it for the deposit. Anyone??

my3kids - I really don't have any experience with that. Our reservation this time will just be ammended. We did get a refund once, they forgot to give us a room credit (DCL's fault). Once our TA made them aware of it, we got our refund within a week.

eek40 - a SPH is a secret porthole room. There are 6 on the ship. They are sold at category 10's, but have an obstructed porthold. so, you get some daylight for free!!! They are right next to the category 8's on Deck 5. If you go to http://www.castawayclub.com/ you can see pictures of them.
