My DH and I both have GAD's, but because our 4yo DD wasn't old enough to volunteer, she couldn't get one.

We will be in FL next month, and there is a convention my DH wants to go to instead. Is there anyway DH's GAD could be given to DD, so she and I could go to the park while he goes to this thing?

No, tickets are non-transferable.

You can donate them to a child, but they have to be part of a specific group; i.e. Boys/Girls Club of Central FL.

no, since the name doesnt match and she is under 6

The parameter about being under the age of six is that they cannot be eligible to volunteer.

They cannot transfer the ticket because tickets are non-transferable. They can donate the ticket to a child, but they have to be a member of a very specific club.

From the GAD FAQ page...

Can I give the free ticket to someone else?

The ticket is non-transferable so you may not give it to someone else, but you may donate your ticket to one of the following non-profit organizations designated by Disney Parks through this site:

* Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida
* Boys & Girls Clubs of Southern California
* Dreams Take Flight Canada

Nope, there actually was a thread where someone did try and was told no. If this had been possible, I would've done the service and given the voucher to my grand daughter who is 5 and was under the age limit. My AP doesn't expire until January 2011, so the free day wasn't something I could use and wasn't interested in the other choices. However, other members of my family did volunteer.

You wouldn't be able to use the voucher for your DD, but it seems to me you could probably use the free tickets for her. Your DH would have to come and cash in the voucher and get the ticket, but maybe your DD could then use the ticket (assuming he wasn't going in the park).

No, because the adult would receive an adult ticket, and a child would not be able to use it.

But couldn't a child use an adult ticket? I could see that you couldn't do the reverse, but I wouldn't think Disney would care if you are using a more expensive ticket.

The adult ticket would require a finger scan, and a 5yo needing to do a finger scan would raise a question.

And this is aside from the fact that it is EXPLICITLY not permitted to give the ticket to someone else.

It doesn't matter, the rules say specifically that the GAD are non-transferable - end of story.

Besides it would have to be tied to a finger scan.

Would you be interested in buying a multi day ticket, maybe even one with no exp. for another date? Then you can have the fastpass option. I am sure someone with more knowhow here could work up a doable scenario so you can still use that ticket. :goodvibes

1. The GAD voucher may be redeemed only by the person whose name is on the voucher.

2. Positive ID is required. This must be a government issued photo ID. The name must match the name on the voucher. If the person whose name is on the voucher is under 18 a copy of the birth certificate will be accepted in place of a government-issued Phot ID.

3. If a ticket is issued, it will have the name of the person on it and is not transferable.

4. Atempting to use an adult ticket for a child will not work as when the ticket is put in the turnstile it will require a finger scan. And it would be obvious that a four year old girl is not the adult man whose name is on the ticket.
