giving away banked points about to expire

I have 46 points that will expire (they are now banked) by 7-31-10. I will not be using them. But, my sister(also a dvc owner) will be traveling to disney twice this year. Can I give her my 46 points to use so they wont be lost?

You can't transfer banked points. The only thing you can do with them is make a reservation (for anyone) for a date of stay 7/31/10 or earlier.

You may also be able to deposit them with RCI, but I'm not familiar with that.

If your sister already knows when she wants to go, just give MS a call and make her a reservation, for as many nights as possible, with your points. If she wants to travel longer, she can make the rest with her own points, and then link the reservation.

if you need a small number of pts to complete a reservation, you might actually have to have your sister transfer a few pts to you...

if you already banked those points to next use year, then you can't use them this year.

my understanding is banked/borrowed and points within the last 4 months of your use year cannot be transferred.

Banked/borrowed points can never be transferred, only current use year points. But transferred points can be banked.
