Here's something I discovered while we were there last week: it is WAY FUN to give away your FastPasses that you are unable to use.
Our very first trip was disappointing in many ways, because our oldest daughter got very sick. She would usually perk up in the afternoon and go to the parks with us, but frequently she'd wilt early and we'd end up going back to the hotel with her. We had been trying to follow Hydroguy's tips and collect FastPasses for later use, but because of DD's illness we often ended up with several sets of FastPasses that were just going to go to waste.
So on the way out of the park we would stop by, say, Indy, which would be posting a 70 minute wait (Hello, Spring break crowds!). I'd look along near the end of the queue till I saw a group of 5 and then ask them if there were 5 of them... to some odd and a little suspicious looks... then when I handed them the fastpasses ("We're unable to use these tonight, please enjoy them," ) you could see their eyes light up. Parents with small antsy children were the best.
