Give your kids an extra hug tonight, I just came home

from a 9-year old's funeral. He was a boy I had taught before DD. I had also taught his sisters. He had the flu, doc said watch him and giev him fluids, no biggie. Days later he had trouble breathing and paramedics were called. He was breathing and awake when they came and in full respiratory arrest by the time they got him to the hospital. They still don't know the cause. I know it is God's will, but sometimes it is still hard to understand. *sigh*

Thanks for the reminder. How tragic for that family. I will spend some extra time with my kids tonight. I have a bit of mommy guilt for yelling at DD for not being responsible with something of mine she played with. She left it somewhere, I stepped on it and now it is broken, and I lost my temper. I am so sorry for your loss. I will listen to your words and give those extra hugs and time tonight. Life is too short to get cought up in the little things. Kids are far more fragile than "things".
