Lets stop and take a moment to think about the things we are thankful for this year.

I am thankful for my family, that I am able to work and have a job, thankful that DS and I weren't injured more seriously in our auto accident, thankful that we have food on the table and a roof overhead.

Even when things seem rough, I look around and there are so many things to be thankful for, in our busy society it is sometimes easy to loose sight of those things and to focus on the negative.

Go out and be a blessing to someone less fortunate than you are this Thanksgiving holiday!

Happy Thanksgiving!

It is often easy to overlook the positive in life when so many negatives seem to shout out at us. Thank you for starting this thread!

I am so thankful for my wonderful daughter, my health and the fact that I am in the position to be good to others as well as myself.

I hope all the members of the DIS have a happy and healthy Thanksgiving!

I'm thankful God gave me Jesus and not what I deserve this thanksgiving.

I'm thankful I have a job, home, healthy family and friends.

Hope everyone is able to have a happy thanksgiving.

I too am thankful for that I have a job, home, healthy family and friends.

May all of us and all of our DIS'r family have a wonderful, heartfelt Thanksgiving.

I am also thankful I have a job to pay for the home I live in that provides shelter from the cold and pays for the food on our table and still have a little left the extra things in life.

I am thankful that even after the above we are in a position to help others who aren't as fortunate.

I am thankful that all of my family is healthy-- there have been years that this wasn't the case.

I am thankful that our new church building is finished so that the Sunday school class I teach doesn't have to go through another cold winter in the frigid portable classrooms.

I'm thankful that my family, myself and friends are all healthy. I'm thankful that DH and I have jobs, our own place to live, my 2 furry "babies". I'm also thankful that I'm loved. There are a lot of people out there who don't have that and it's sad.

I'm thankful for my wonderful new DH and that we were able to have the wedding of our dreams...

I'm thankful for my job and my health and my education...all of which allows me to have my house to share with our three furbabies...

I'm thankful we don't have to worry (too much) about where our next meal is coming from, or if we are going to be warm this winter...

I'm thankful for my wonderful family and friends...

I'm thankful I woke up this morning and I can see and hear and feel and laugh!!

HAVE A WONDERFUL HOLIDAY EVERYONE!! :sunny:

Definitely!

I am very thankful for my family and friends. I am thankful to have a job (even though I may complain a little too much about it) that allows me to live a comfortable life.

I am thankful that even though some family members may be quite sick, that they are still positive influences on our lives and that they have been fortunate enough to be a part of our lives for this long...(I'm thankful for the wonderful memories).

And as Smilie said, I am thankful for the love I am given.

boy, do I know how to kill a thread - or what ;)

Bumping up...

What a wonderful idea for a Thanksgiving Thread

I am thankful to live in a coutry that is free. That we can fly our flag, express our thoughts and not live in fear. I am thankful for each and every service person who is serving to keep this country free and safe.

I am thankful for my DH, two daughters and two grandchildren. :cloud9:

I am thankful that I have been blessed with many wonderful friends and family that truely care and love each other. And I am thankful that I have a good job which I enjoy. Many people go to work day in and out and hate what they are doing. I am thankful that I have been blessed so I have enough to share with others, no matter what it is they may need. Time, food, money, prayer. I am thankful that I can appreciate all the beauty this world holds.

Thank Thanksgiving Everyone!

I am thankful for my family, my friends (old & new), and my good health.

Above all else, I am the most thankful that the Lord has blessed me with everything I need.....NOT everything I want. For those unanswered prayers, I am truly grateful!

Happy Thanksgiving everyone!

Just a pre Thanksgiving Day Bump ;)

I'm thankful for my family most of all, and that my grandma, brother and father are now out of the hospital.

I'm thankful to be able to be home for Thanksgiving. :flower:

And I'm thankful for my wonderful boyfriend and the opportunity to live with him. I could not ask for a better friend or soulmate

I am thankful for my DS and my family. I am thankful for health, home and happiness.

Happy Thanksgiving all!

Above all else this year, I'd like to give thanks for my son, Jacob. DH and I had been praying for a baby for nearly 3 years. We had been married several years and were ready to have children. However, we had not realized it might take so long. After a year, we started feeling like there may be a problem, so we prayed to the Lord to please bless us with a son.

We kept up our faith that God would provide a child to us if it was His will, but as 3 years began to approach, we started wondering if He had other plans for us. To think that we might not be able to have children broke our hearts, as both DH and I love kids so much.

We really didn't want to go the infertility treatment route, but reluctantly made an appointment with a specialist to at least find out if there was a problem with one or both of us and to see what could be done. I felt a bit guilty doing this, almost as if I wasn't trusting God enough with this issue, that I felt I needed to take it in my own hands to get what we wanted (I know this is faulty thinking, but nevertheless, that's what kept going through my head).

We still had a week to go before the appointment, and I realized it had been a while since my monthly visitor, so I took a test, and was overjoyed when the word "Pregnant" popped up. God is awesome!

He took care of me all the way through pregnancy as well. My mom had 5 miscarriages, so that weighed heavily on my mind. If I ever started to get a sore throat, I prayed for Him to protect me from getting sick, since my asthma can cause serious complications with even the most basic cold. Every single time I prayed for me not to get sick, my sore throat was gone by the next day- I didn't get sick once throughout the pregnancy.

I desired to have a natural childbirth without medication, and although I took a class for it, I was still nervous deep down inside that I wasn't strong enough. I prayed that I would have a perfect birth, and be able to get through it without any complications...The Lord delivered on that prayer as well. I had the most wonderful natural birth, it was such a positive, uplifting experience, and to top it off, I had a perfectly healthy little boy.

The Lord is awesome, trust in Him for all things. Thank you so much for my son!
