We leave Thursday.
1.I always make a small notebook or envelope with reservation information to take to check in (which I do online ahead of time.) I put all my paperwork and all in there so I have it on hand when we arrive and check in.
2. Go to bank and cash out money for all tips. Then I make tip envelopes for each meal (label on front, dining time and date and reservation # on back) and pre-stuff them with an approximate tip. We adjust according to service and bill at dinner though. I also make mousekeeping tip envelopes and prestuff them for each day. All of the envelopes go in a ziplock and in the safe when we arrive. Each night as I prepare for the next day, I pull out the envelopes for the coming day and put them in my purse. Makes it alot easier than worrying about having the right bills and such when it's time to tip.
3. Pay all bills due at home so I don't have to worry about those on vacation! Ha!
4. We also cash out my son's spending money and put it in an envelope that I carry so he has a visual way of knowing when it's almost gone.
5. Make list of all things I will need to pack including things like a comforter (I hate resort comforters), laundry bags, etc. We wash on our trip b/c we are there for 10-11 days usually. But the last few days I put dirty laundry in a separate bag so when we get home it's sorted and ready to wash! We also pack things like rx nausea meds b/c my son had a stomach bug one time and it was something we were thankful we had on hand!
6. Pack Pack Pack!!! I start this tomorrow night for our Thursday departure!
7. Clean the house! I hate coming home to dirty laundry, dishes, unmade beds, etc. Our house is cleaned and welcoming when we get home. Makes it so easy!
8. Take care of pets. Our dog goes to my parent's home Thursday morning. Make sure he has food and meds and toys and his bed and so on!
9. Make sure I have wallet organized and empty. Make sure you have health insurance card, car insurance card, credit cards, driver's license, etc. I do not take any credit cards I am not going to use either. I like my wallet empty b/c by the end of the week it is crammed full of receipts and junk! Gotta make room for that, huh?! Ha!
10. Disney music and movies stashed in van. Can't drive 8 hours without that!
11. If you are a parent, contact your school and make sure your child's teacher knows about you being out (if they are going to miss school.) Get make up work and decide when it will be done.
Gosh! I'm a nut! I know! That is just some of the stuff keeping me awake right now making me go crazy till I get it done this week! Ha! I'm sure there is stuff I'm forgetting but this is definitely a good start!
PS- What do you mean by "pre-paying" for fast pass?? They aren't a paid item. Just FYI!

Hope that helps!
Have fun planning and packing!
