I can say that the food was "okay". My caesar salad was pretty good, the fettucine was just okay and nothing to call home about. The canoli on the other hand was drop dead delicious and the Bellini was very tasty!
The service was slow, and it seemed to take forever to get my main course, the fettucine alfredo. This seemed odd to me as I'm sure I wasn't the only person to have ordered it that evening... It is a signature dish, right??
However, my server, Christina was a sweety and I could tell she was extremely busy and was trying very hard. The atmosphere and the ambiance were wonderful. I did feel as if I were in an old family Italian restaurant.
and as an update:
Patina Restaurant Group will become the new operator for the restaurant from September 1, 2007, and they will open a brand new restaurant concept in Fall 2008. The new restaurant opening in Fall 2008 will feature signature dishes, interactive experience, and a variety of wines, and will also participate in the Dining Plan.
The Patina group also runs the Naples Restaurant at the Disneyland Resort.

We were confused between Patina Restaurant Group being the new operator on September 1st and their opening of a new restaurant concept in 2008. When we called WDW Dining yesterday to make ADRs for October, we were told the restaurant will be closed while we're there. Consequently, we would not be able to make ADRs for Italy's restaurant.
In spite of the fact Patina will be the new operator on September 1, they won't have a restaurant to serve food at that time, according to the Dining CM.
Nothing clears up confusion like being told the restaurant will be closed.
Well, if it's any consolation, imagine how nice it is going to be if they need a full year to work on it and change it over. I can't imagine what interactive means, but it sounds pretty cool.
Ive eaten at Alfredos last December and a year before that too. I really enjoy the pasta with vodka sauce. It comes with shrimp but I got it without. My only compalint is the meal was very small, but maybe thats because I had it without shrimp. We also enjoyed the sampler meal with 3 different things (I forget the name...tri something), and the Alfredo.
The service 2 years ago was very good, but this year it wasn't the greatest.
I have to tell you that based on the oppinions I read here on the Dis I almost cancelled this ADR last year and we loved our meal. The bread they make fresh daily was delicious, my ceasar salad was OUT OF THIS WORLD, I loved my lasagna, very tasty. The desert and service was good too. It was a little long between courses but we had an overall wonderful experience!

We usually really enjoy it when we go. The Caesar salad is fantastic, and their marinara pasta sauce is really good as well. As for the desserts, they're great! They have a chocolate mousse that's amazing. Like a previous poster said, I would go once before it closes. Don't expect a speedy meal though, generally it takes a bit of time to get through all of the courses there. Have fun!
We love Alfredo's. We were there last April. The service was very good. Food was excellent. We LOVED the calamari. I had the tagliolini in vodka sauce...soooo good. My Grandma had the sampler pasta dish. Can't wait to go next month!
We have gone to Alredo's every year since it opened. The service over the years has gone downhill a bit, but the food is still good. Every year we order the same, lasagne, it is fantastic. And you have to get the tiramisu or even get the sampler dessert platter which has on about 5 mini desserts! I say definately go before the close, we go in June & may even try for 2 meals!
I'm glad we didn't read the negative comments before we went bec we might have cancelled and that would have been a shame in our opinion. The service was actually the quickest we had at WDW during our entire stay. The food was good to excellent and we enjoyed the atmosphere, the napkin song, the music, and our waiter. My only advice is that if you order the fettucine, order the appetizer size. My dh who is normally a bottomless pit when it comes to eating, could only eat about half his plate. I luckily had room for an excellent cannoli!
We've always enjoyed Alfredo's but I know that they get a lot of negative reviews from people. I thought our food was great, the service was good & overall we had a really nice time.
