:cool1::cool1:Eight Days!! :cool1::cool1:

The number eight thing I'm looking forward to at Disney is:

Riding the monorail after tea! :thumbsup2

And now for the weather:

Accuweather is predicting temps around 90 with minimal rain (a couple little chances of rain but only .01 - .03 inches on a given day). :thumbsup2

Weather.com is predicting high 80s for Thursday & Friday with a 40% chance of a scattered t-shower on Thursday.

I'll take it! (That reminds me... I need to go find the ponchos!)

Have a great day everyone! I'm off to work then to hunt down a SpongeBob toy for Zach's birthday tomorrow. Tim brought home some money from Jeff for us to pick something up... Zach really wants this SpongeBob Lego toy that doesn't seem to be available anywhere except online! :headache: Wish me luck!

:cool1: for 8 days! And :yay: for riding the monorail after tea! Both are going to be so much fun!

I wouldn't worry too much about the weather, it's so unpredictable it can change at the drop of a hat! All that matters is you'll be in DISNEY WORLD! Who cares if you get a lil wet??

I'm super late but wanted to say hi Amy. :) I leave for my girls' trip in 2 days. I'm excited and also a little nervous! Your plans look so great. I wish we were there at the same time so we could at least say hi quickly. Bummer.

A spot of afternoon tea at the Grand Floridian folllowed by a ride on the monorail sounds downright heavenly this afternoon!!! :cloud9:

Good luck finding the Sponge Bob Legos. Toys R Us always seems to have a good selection of Legos as does Walmart and Target. :goodvibes

I thought of you today. I saw Sue (your tax coll) at the conference I am attending this week. I have to commute this year as it is at the Portsmouth Sheraton.

8 Days!!!!:cool1::cool1:

the lego store seems to have a lot of lego stuff to for some reason:rotfl:
The nearest one for us is in chicago, 5 hours away. Stupid indiana, doesnt have anything good.:headache::mad:

Then I won't either! :)

;)

Tea and the Monorail, 2 things to :dancer: about!

I'm getting so excited!! I've stopped worrying about the weather... I know there will be rain at some point, I just don't want a complete washout like I had with my mother in 2008. It poured non-stop for two of our three days. The sun came out on our last day.

Have fun on your trip!! :cool1: I'm starting to get a little nervous too... more on that to come in my next update.

I found the Legos at Toys R Us. :thumbsup2 I would have gone to Target first, but I checked online and it said that set wasn't available. I started to worry that it was only available online since it wasn't available at any of the ten Targets that came up when I entered my zip code (even though nine of them are too far away for me to go to...).

Hope you're having fun at your conference. :goodvibes

Yes the Lego store would be the logical choice - if we had one anywhere near us!

Happy, Happy, Joy, Joy...sending wonderful Birhtday wishes to a great kid!

:bday:

Happy Birthday Zach! :cake: :rockband: party:

Thanks Julie!! We had a fun morning. We gave him Jeff's gift (the SpongeBob Legos I hunted down yesterday) and he played with them all morning. I built a pineapple house out of legos at 7am! He was so happy with that one gift that he didn't ask for anything else! :thumbsup2

Today my baby turns 7!:sad1: We had a fun morning playing SpongeBob legos before I took him to school with his frog cookies (same ones he had last year for those of you who remember... well a fresh batch of the same kind;)).

Alex is home sick today- He didn't feel good yesterday afternoon so he skipped soccer, came home and started throwing up! :headache: Of course he feels totally fine today (and felt fine by 6pm yesterday) but has to stay home from school. He wants to go to soccer practice this afternoon but I don't think I should let him due to the 24 hour rule.

I had a little freak out last night when Tim told his mother he didn't need her next weekend so she should stay in Florida with GG. :scared1: Yes, she is needed there so I totally understand why he would do that, but he needs her here too! I'm sure he'll be fine. Saturday could be a bit hectic with soccer and a birthday party but we'll make it work. I'll probably have to coordinate for Zach to go to the party with another family - which makes me nervous because it's a pool party (indoors)... but I have to let go a bit sometimes. I just hope something doesn't set him off at the party...

After a good night's sleep I'm feeling better about it and have given myself permission to continue getting excited for Disney!

With that said... In one week I'll be on my way to Orlando!! :dance3::dance3::dance3:

The seventh thing I'm looking forward to at Disney is:

Fantasmic!

F2.jpg

F1.jpg

I have seen Fantasmic! once - back in 2006 and can't wait to see it again.

And now for the weather:

Accuweather reports temps around 90 with rain on Sunday. Oh and they also think Hurricane Matthew (which has yet to form) could be hitting Florida sometime next week! :scared1: I think I'll keep my eye on that one! :headache:

Weather.com reports high 80s with possible t-storms each day and also make mention of Hurricane Matthew.

Finally... I have a few apps for my iPhone that show wait times at Disney. I think my favorite is "Lines" by TouringPlans.com. I've been following the wait times over the past couple weeks and am finding them very short. This doesn't really surprise me based on reports I've read on the DIS and Tour Guide Mike. Today I thought I'd see how the crowds are at DHS since that's where we'll be headed next Thursday. Today is also an non-EMH/Fantasmic day so it should be a good comparison.

Right now, Fastpasses for TSM are already gone! Five minutes ago they were still available for 8:10pm. So it looks like we'll be out of luck as far as that goes... I'm also finding the FPs are going faster than what I've seen recently. For the most part, FPs were being issued for about 30 minutes later. Right now, ToT is issuing FPs for 1:50m and RnRC for 2:05pm. It looks like Fantasmic is definitely beefing up the crowds!

Have a great day everyone!!

I love the looks of that Lines app! Can we use it in Jan too?

Happy Birthday to Zach!

I have it on my phone too :thumbsup2 I can't get manyother Disney apps since I don't have an iphone...but the lines thing is cool, have not toyed around w/ it too much but will closer to Nov...I figure it will come in super handy.

great job making pineapple houses out of Lego's this morning...sorry Alex is still sick...almost thought Rachel wasn't going to go today too....

BTW I have done Disney once in Spet and once late August....the rain is :scared1: sorry...I hope you get some blue skies...be a shame since your last "solo" trip had tons of rain too....

I am so glad you were able to find the Legos! :thumbsup2

Happy Birthday to Zach!!! :cheer2:

Hope Alex feels better soon! :goodvibes

Seeing Fantasmic! is sure to be fun!

I think it's my favorite line app because it gives the FP info! Yes - we can definitely use it in January! :thumbsup2

:cool1::cool1::banana: ONE WEEK WIGGLE!!!! :banana::cool1::cool1:

And,

:bday: to Zach! hope he has a great day!

Thank you!! Zach had a great day. :goodvibes

I'm sure we'll have rain, I just don't want a complete washout! That reminds me... I need to pack my crocs. I didn't wear them on our last trip so I wasn't going to bring them, but they are definitely the best shoe for a rainy day. :umbrella:

I am so glad you were able to find the Legos! :thumbsup2

Happy Birthday to Zach!!! :cheer2:

Hope Alex feels better soon! :goodvibes

Seeing Fantasmic! is sure to be fun!

Thanks Jackie! Alex is all better - he was actually kind of mad that he couldn't go to soccer practice yesterday!

Let's hope we don't get rained out of Fantasmic!

Hi Amy! All caught up....once again! I've been having a really hard time getting back into a good fall routine and haven't been able to fit DIS time back in quite yet. Working on it!

Happy Birthday to Zach and happy ONE WEEK to you!!

Your book for Laura is fantastic! I made a similar one for my SIL and her family for their August trip. SO fun.....except that I wasn't joining them. :confused3

Zach had a nice birthday yesterday - Thanks for all the birthday wishes! :goodvibes I'll have pictures to post next week from our weekend festivities.

The sixth thing I'm looking forward to at Disney is:

Eating at Via Napoli (and seeing La Hacienda de San Angel)

Weather time!

Accuweather is calling for 89 on Thursday, 88 with lots of rain on Friday, 85 with rain on Saturday & 78 and dry on Sunday. I'm not sure I believe the 78 number though. :rolleyes1

Weather.com says we'll see temps in the mid-80s every day with scattered t-storms each day. I like this forecast better. ;)

Matthew has officially formed into a Tropical Storm and is expected to cause heavy rain in Central America. The question is where he goes after that...

According to accuweather: "There are still different scenarios with Matthew into early next week.

One scenario is that Matthew stalls over central America and gets torn apart into a remnant low due to friction of being over land. :thumbsup2

Another scenario is that Matthew could still turn to the north and head in Florida's direction. :sad2: Whether it does or not, more tropical moisture will be pulled toward the East late this weekend into next week.

Other tropical disturbances will move into the Caribbean through next week and could strengthen and be named.

It seems likely that the disturbance that follows Matthew will be the one that ends up heading farther north toward Cuba and Florida next week.:headache:"

I'm way behind on my DISing but will catch up later. I have a little bit of work to get done today but more importantly, It's my birthday and I'm going to breakfast with my best childhood friend & going to lunch with Laura. It should be a fun day! :goodvibes

that dang Matthew.....he's always leaving his dirty socks on the floor and dirty dishes in the sink....:rolleyes1 oh whoops that's a different Matthew (JK I love my hubbie)...

UGH the weather...I really hope it doesn't spoil this wonderful trip you have planned....can't wait to hear about Via Napoli...I may have to consider that for next Oct...though living in the Chicago burbs...other pizza is hard to rank up there ;)

the best reason to post today is....

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!! Hope it is one wonderful and super MAGICAL DAY!!!!
