In ten days Laura & I will be sitting at the airport, waiting to board our flight to Orlando!!:dance3::yay::woohoo:

The number ten thing I am looking forward to at Disney is:

Riding the Magical Express bus (to BWI not departing)!

MEBus.jpg

The weather is looking pretty good too! (For now...) Accuweather has high temps listed as 89, 83, 77 :confused3 & 82 for our four days with a chance of an afternoon shower pretty much each day.

Myforecast.com is showing high temps as 89, 89, 88 & 88 with some showers each day. These temps seem a bit more realistic, but I like the 77 & low 80s that accuweather is currently predicting. :thumbsup2

So what are your thoughts on online check-in? I have read that we should be able to do it if we want to, even with our Orbitz reservation. Our Disney reservation number is on our ME tags... But I'm not sure we will... :confused3 We will be checking in around noon on a Thursday - will it be busy?

Riding the Magical Express is the best way to start a vacation! Not that I have ever actually done that, but I imagine it would be the best way! :lmao:

Either set of temperatures looks pretty good considering I am used to forecasts in the high 90s!

We always do online check-in and have had great luck with the room being ready. I have read where other people weren't crazy about it. I wouldn't think noon on a Thursday would be very busy either way.

:dancer: for 10 days!!!!!!!!!!!!! How exciting!

As to online check in...that's a tough call, I didn't have a good experience with it at all but plenty have. No help I know.

The weather sounds lovely!

We don't usually get to ride ME either. I've only ridden once with my mom in 2008 so I'm very excited! In 2009 we had a rental car at the beginning of our trip but we rode ME back to the airport... but what fun is that!

So far I can't get the online system to recognize my reservation number so online check-in may not be an option... :confused3

I second that... I can't imagine Thursday is a big day for checking in!

Kathy

I'm hoping it's a super quiet day. :thumbsup2

Thanks Cynthia! :dancer:

I don't think I'll worry about online check-in... can't get the system to recognize our reservation number anyways. :headache:

Thanks Jessica!! :cheer2:

It's finally time for a single digits dance!!

9 Days!!

The number nine thing I'm looking forward to at Disney is:

And the weather is continuing to improve!

Accuweather shows sun, with no rain for all four days of our trip! Thursday 89, Friday 83, Saturday 87 and Sunday 86!! :dance3:

Weather.com only has Thursday available but shows 86 degrees with a 20% chance of rain! :thumbsup2

:banana::banana:Woo Hoo for 9 days!!:dance3::dance3::yay::yay::yay:

See they get you all excited about the weather 15 days ahead & it always changes. Heck the weather down there can change by the hour!! Great that it is looking good for your trip!!:thumbsup2

Are you getting butterflies in your stomach yet? I am! It's funny b/c just last week I wasn't all that excited but now I am VERY excited! :cool1:

:banana: I'm sure the weather will change again - once or even twice!

Yes - I think this past weekend was a turning point for me. Maybe it was bringing up the larger suitcase and moving things out of the small suitcase that had served as my "Disney box". Maybe it was that I made the instruction lists for DH... :confused3 But yes - I am getting VERY excited! And I think Laura is too!!

I'm here now!! I skipped the chit-chat, but am caught up on your plans. As for check-in at BWI, Henry and I got there around 2:00 on a Thursday and it was not busy - 2 CMs were working the desk, both were with a guest, so I stood there waiting - but the Conceriage called me right over and checked me in. I did do online and it was so quick and easy and the room was ready. :thumbsup2

I hope you love the BW, as you know we did! And what a STEAL you got on it!

NINE days! Your DHS pictures make me "home-sick"

Hurray for single digits!!! :woohoo:

Being able to soak in the sights and sounds without having to keep track of anyone can be worth its weight in gold!!! :goodvibes

Your pictures have gotten me so excited for BWI!! I'm not too worried about check-in... I'll cross my fingers that our room will be ready!

Sorry to make you "home-sick"... post Disney blues can be tough!

::yes::

Yay for lazy Sunday mornings... or Monday mornings on a holiday weekend! :goodvibes After a nice breakfast of pancakes, bacon & sausage, I shared all of the ADRs with Tim & we decided we could make Chef Mickey's work for our first night. So I cancelled the back-up ADR at the end of the week. :thumbsup2

We also decided that regardless of any menu changes, we're better off to eat at Le Cellier for lunch than for dinner, especially once they go Signature. We are still a bit undecided on whether we want to eat there before or after the change over so we have two Le Cellier ADRs & two Teppan Edo ADRs - lunch on Monday 2/28 & lunch on Saturday 3/5. These are my only duplicate ADRs - I promise! :flower3:

I also changes Chefs of France from 4:30 to 4:50. Remy makes his last rounds at 5:20. If we are seated right at 4:30 and we are at the end of his rounds, we could be finished before he reaches our table. I thik 4:50 is a safer bet. We shouldn't have any problem being seated by 5:20. ;)

I know you've all heard this before on the DISboards, but here is our final (or more likely current) itinerary with ADRs:

Sunday 2/27:
• Chef Mickey’s 5:45pm

This will be our arrival day in Orlando. We'll try to check in at the condo then head to Animal Kingdom. If we weren't able to check in earlier, we'll check in before heading to the Contemporary to dine with Mickey.

Monday 2/28:
• Teppan Edo lunch ADR 12:00pm
• Le Cellier lunch at 11:30am

Today will be our Epcot day. Crowds should be low since the Flower & Garden Festival starts later in the week. We'll arrive at rope drop and stay through sometime in the afternoon. We'll have an easy night at the resort - which will also allow me to finish getting organized and Tim can get groceries if we didn't have time to do so the day before.

Tuesday 3/1:
• Crystal Palace 8:05am breakfast
• Ohana dinner 5:00 pm

Today will be our Magic Kingdom day. We'll arrive before park opening for Crystal Palace! We'll definitely be taking a mid-day break because we have dinner at 'Ohana followed by a return to the park for Wishes.

Wednesday 3/2:
• Sci Fi Dine In lunch 11:30am

This is our DHS day. We'll aim for rope drop, but won't stress about it if we don't make it there too early since we will have had a late night the night before.

Thursday 3/3:
• Les Chefs de France dinner 4:50pm (Remy at 5:20)

We will have an open morning this day. Hang out at the resort & swim? Waterpark if it's warm enough? Disney Quest? Make up some park time that got rained out? Our late afternoon/evening will be back at Epcot for dinner & Illuminations. The Flower & Garden Festival will be underway so we'll try to take in the atmosphere.

Friday 3/4:
• Mama Melrose’s dinner 5:00pm

We'll plan to hit Animal Kingdom this morning & DHS in the late afternoon evening, most likely taking a mid-day break. (Morning plans for Thursday & Friday are interchangeable based on weather, need for rest, etc.)

Saturday 3/5:
• Les Chefs lunch 12:00
• Teppan Edo lunch 12:00

We'll spend the morning & lunch at Epcot and the evening at Magic Kingdom, including the parade (seems as though MSEP will still be there). We'll take a mid-day break.

Sunday 3/6:

This is our departure day. We need to be heading to the airport around 1pm so we'll pack up the car first thing in the morning, check out & head to a park for a few hours. We've always left super early so park time on departure day will be another first for us!

There you have it! We shouldn't be making any changes to this plan - at least not for a while. I'm happy with this itinerary & the ADRs... with only two duplicates! :thumbsup2

Up next: Really... I'll move past 2011 ADRs... :rolleyes1

So when I was on Accuweather checking out the fantastic forecast for the beginning of my trip and for your trip, I happened to stumble across an article about how early October is favorable for tropical storms. "Troptober" :sad2: Let's hope it just stays as speculation. Come on pixie dust!!!

I think that's always a risk if you travel south in the late summer/early fall. I'm not even going to think about that unless the weather man tell me to! ;)
