Has anyone heard anything about them running the GAD program again in 2011? We're planning a trip to DL before our Mexican Riviera cruise in Feb 2011 and would love to volunteer to get a day! Also, when was the 2010 give a day program information first released, so I have an idea when to be watching the Disney site for info?

If memory serves me right, they announced the GAD program in late Oct, early Nov, I could be wrong about the timing but that is what comes to mind.

I have no idea if they will offer it again. My guess would be they will run a different promotion, but who knows!

I highly doubt that GAD promo will continue. Frankly, Disney did not expect it to be such a success this year. I think they intended the promo to last the entire year. Instead, people gobbled up the GAD things in 3 months. I believe the smarter move would be to create a promo that can last the entire year for sure instead of what happened this year where they now have to reuse the "what will you celebrate" because the GAD died off.

Technically, What Will You Celebrate? is this year's "theme". With the Give a Day. Get a Disney Day. promotion being a extra add on on it, as opposed to a "theme" in and of itself.

But anyway, I digress...

As to the OP, Walt Disney World Resort turns 40 next year.

Just saying (really!).

I actually think the 40th will last two years, to cove the eventual Fantasyland expansion... but, yes, a CM told me the last time I was in WDW that there would be a big thing for the 40th.
