YAY!!!!!! I just printed my volunteer vouchers. I guess I got lucky because the web-site says Disney is no longer allowing people to register to volunteer because they have reached their 1million volunteer goal. Anyways, I have an annual pass to Disneyland Resort and I want to redeem my voucher for the Fast Pass option. I was wondering if anyone else had done this? If so, what attractions is the pass good for? Is it valid at both park or only at one? Also, my son (16) and I volunteered together and will be going to Disneyland in sometime in June. Can I redeem my voucher for a fast pass one day and him the next, or do we have to redeem them both on the same day? Having fast passes for 2 days will help on the crowded summer days at the parks.

Hi-
I just did this so I will copy what I wrote in another thread for you----

Oh and yes the passes are good in both parks - I can't recall off hand which rides were on them but a few from each park.

For the Give a Day Fast Passes --
So there were 4 people in our family old enough to volunteer for the day for this promo.

Because we already had park hopper tickets we chose the fast passes.
We took the give a day print out that you recieve with your name on from Disney once your hours are confirmed with us.

Each day of our trip we took only ONE give a day print out to the main ticket booth.
(Since 4 of us volunteered we were able to do this 4 days in a row.)

That ONE voucher we changed each day allowed the ENTIRE group to get fast passes for the day. (I think 6 people is the max - our group had 4 people so they gave us 4 peoples worth.)

They scanned our give a day print out voucher that we used that day, at the ticket booth and asked for ID for the person whose name was on the voucher (Don't forget they even need it for kids!)

Then they took all of our park hopper tickets (4) and scanned them.
Then they gave us 4 cards to take into the park and change for the fast passes (Again they only give you one for each person in your group.)

In the DLR side the exchange booth is on the left hand side next to City hall where you take the tours from.

They scanned all 4 of the cards we were given and gave us the fast passes.
EACH person in our group was given SIX passes - 3 Diasy's Favourites and 3 Donald's
So each person could go on SIX rides with the fast pass.

Because there was 4 in our group this means that we got 24 fast passes total. Larger groups would get more, smaller groups less

The passes are good for a choice of several different rides which are written on each pass. You can use them any way you want - you can use all of them riding the same ride over and over. One or two people could use them all while the others do things that don't need a fast pass etc. (For example one night my hubby and oldest son took everyones passes that had the choice of the California Screamin (and a bunch of other rides) and rode Screamin 6 times in a row! While the little ones and I sat on the Merry-go-round over and over again)

The passes are only good for the day they are issued and have the date on them!!
We were never able to use all the passes in one day so we shared them with people we met in the parks. I had trouble getting our stroller on the monorail and some papers fell out so this young girl and her dad helped me. Once everything was settled and we left the station they realized that half their famliy got left behind and she started to cry --- SO I gave them a bunch of fast passes We are from Vancouver so we also handed them out to anyone wearing 2010 gear when we decided to go home early etc.

TOTALLY worth it as we skipped the lines, never used all the passes we got and had a GREAT time volunteering too!

Oh one other thing - I remember reading a long time ago that some people wondered if parent swap would work with these - it does! Often 2 of us would go through the fast pass lane with 2 of these passes and ask for a parent swap card. They would come out and the next two of us would ride. We did this because we have a baby BUT technically I guess we in theory could have doubled the number of fast passes we had by getting a parent swap every time we used a pass. So I suppose thinking about it we had more then 24 passes each day because we also had several parent swap passes too.

So, if I am understanding you correctly, the fastpass is only good for six rides per person per day? I thought you could use them to ride specific rides for an unlimited time. Considering that a disney ticket is worth almost 70 dollars, I thought they would allow you a little more freedom with the fastpass.

Thank you for your reply

Yes that is right - 6 rides per person - per day only.
BUT you can also get regular fast passes and parent swaps etc too.
We could never use all our passes in one day and gave a lot of them away.

You can also go to City Hall to get the first part of the process done since you already have tickets. Works exactly the same way with the scanning of the tickets and then taking them to the guided tour booth. We ended up bringing a few home with us that didn't get used. I'll see about scanning them in so people can see what they look like.

For us, the value of these FP's are gonna be huge since we will be going during the middle of summer. The parks will be super busy & getting FP's will have to be done early in the day for the more popular of those rides. FP's will run out on busy days. We will get our bonus FP's plus the ones we can gather....which should help on by-passing long stand-by lines. To our family....it's worth at least the cost of a one-day ticket.
