**Girly Only Pre-Christmas Shopping Weekend**

Calling all girls, how do you fancy a weekend of shopping, drinking, eating and chatting about WDW ?

Well if you're up for it, Kaylee & I are planning such a weekend for Fri 12th Oct & Sat 13th Oct to Birmingham

The idea is to meet up at our chosen hotel around tea-time/evening, have a meal and go for a drink/club, then the next day hit the shops with an evening once again revolving around eating, drinking and possible dancing (or a quiet sherry in the corner for us old 'uns :rotfl2: :rotfl2: )

You are welcome to join us for both nights or just the one - it really is up to you

Here are some ideas for hotels which are around the Broad Street area of Birmingham, which are 5 minutes walk to The Mailbox (a designer mall)

http://www.mailboxlife.com/

10 minutes walk into the City Centre and the Bull Ring

http://www.bullring.co.uk/website/

and the Pavilions

http://www.pavilionsshopping.com/

The hotels are

Premier Travel Inn

The Hyatt

Travelodge

http://www.travelodge.co.uk/find_a_hotel/hotel/hotel_id/109/BirminghamCentral

So if you're interested, then let us know and we can start getting quotes for our hotel stay

If we decide on the Travel Inn, it is very easy to register and reserve a room (with your credit card), but then you can pay on the day you arrive

Obviously to keep costs down, it may be fun to share in a twin room and this will halve the cost (unless of course you would prefer your own room)

So what do you think ?

We would really like to try and make arrangements asap

Mandy :santa:

That sounds great, Im up for it! :goodvibes

Yay, welcome aboard Jen

When everyone has read the different hotel websites, can you reply with either your favourite or say whether you don't mind where you stay

So far going is :

I'm in - Nat and I were just talking about this the other day :thumbsup2

ETA: I'm not fussy about where we stay, also I am happy to share a room

I would be interested, anybody else going from yorkshire?

we could share a car there, I dont mind driving just dont like being in the car alone on long drives

I might be interested also, depending on the cost etc (trying to save for a house at the moment).

I would love to come and meet you all but will be at the Raddisson on the Friday and on our way across the pond on the Saturday. Have a drink on me!!!

my goegraphys rubbish emily but if I drive that way I can pick up we could just go early saturday!! as I am on a budget too

Well the Travel Inn is 60 quid (sorry no pound sign on my laptop) per twin room per night, so between two that would be 60 quid for the whole weekend (bargain)

Mandy :)

I probably wouldn't be able to get there to stay over on Friday due to work, but would be able to meet on Saturday for shopping if that is OK.

and my spellings even worse, I meant geography

ooo your post did make me laugh!!!:rotfl:

I live about 20 min drive from Brum, so not too far away. I'll give it a think Mandy and let you know!

I've just done a quick check on prices per twin room per night and

The Travel Inn - £60 per room per night
The Travelodge - £76 per room per night
The Hyatt - £79.20 per room per night

I hope that helps

Mandy :)

It sounds lovely. I'd probably plan to come over on Saturday and just stay the one night (ideally as cheap as possible but all suggestions seem OK if I could find a roomie!) Wonder is there is such a thing as a group rate ;)

I've looked at trains and it's really quick and simple from Coventry and the return fare is far less than even a few hours in a city centre car park!

DH is happy to mind the troops but I need to check if he is actually in the country as he is away on business sometime round then and he quite often tries to stay over a weekend day so he can actually see more of wherever than the hotel :)

Yay Jo !! I was thinking about you as you're only down the road in Cov

Mandy :)

I wish I didn't live so far away :sad2: i miss out on all the fun !!

This sounds brilliant, count me in, although I'm thinking I may only manage the saturday night and i am happy to share a room:thumbsup2

:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

count me in Mandy !! i will share a room if needed and will def stay over (i don't mind where ):)
