GirlsonTour + Hubby October Trip Day 4

MONDAY 15TH OCTOBER MGM AND DTD
GirlsonTour Trip Report 11th October 2007 – 25th October 2007
Coronado Springs Resort and Hard Rock Hotel

Andrea – chief planner, chief of money (for this holiday) and generally chief of everything.

Andy – chief provider of money and unwilling participant of this holiday

Kara – chief spender of money and very willing participant of this holiday due to the fact that Mum and Dad were paying.

Lucy – chief of all red heads and chief moaner (especially in hot weather).

Early risers as usual. The girls like to be first at the turnstiles in the hope of winning family of the day or meeting the dream team....this never happened, but we lived in hope every single day!!

MGM always consists of the same routine – Andy and I wait for only 10 minutes whilst the girls go on ToT. This wait turns into about 1 hour because the girls have run on at least 3 times whilst the lines weren’t too bad!! Again another hot, hot day…whilst watching High School Musical you could feel the back of your neck burning!

Had lunch at ABC mainly because the seating outside is in the shade and we can watch the children’s faces when they meet the characters off Monsters Inc. Now Lucy is older a lot of the pleasure of meeting the characters is made up from other little tiny tots and their antics!

However some kids never grow up

We hit Planet Hollywood shop where the t-shirts were buy one, get one half price…this gave Kara the ideal excuse to spend what seems like a vast amount of money but when you convert it into ££ it's actually nothing

Got back to the quiet pool at about 1.30pm – love bugs were out en-mass at the main pool – roasted ourselves until 6pm. Kara and Lucy had their usual mad half hour...

Had a visitor whilst trying to get some shut eye..

Went to find Lucy to show her our visitor but she was fast asleep….

Andy meanwhile was asleep in the room, still not having a lot to say for himself, but managing to get up every morning without too much moaning. Lucy had asked that when we were in the parks, and leaving Andy miles behind, if we could walk a bit slower so that her Dad could catch up…..”Tell him to walk a bit faster” was my reply. It is just as hard for me to slow down as it probably would be for Andy to speed up. However tonight saw a big change in Andy because he saw an end in sight of the girls only trip – he was going fishing tomorrow and his mood noticeably improved with every passing hour!!

Nipped to DTD at night and eat at (of all places) MacDonald’s!!!! We were just so hungry that it was the first place that we came to…poor excuse I know. Lucy bought a great pin from there – with a burger and fries on it.

We were all really looking forward to tomorrow : Andy fishing from Wilderness Lodge with “my imaginary friends” (his words, not mine) husband and friend. Kara, Lucy and I were going to TL as the weather forecast had given another scorcher. Night time we were off to MK for MNSSHP. All hoping for a good day tomorrow

I'm reading your reports and "so identifying" with your recalcitrant Andy! We have the same problem!!

I can't identify with the early starts (they make me feel tired) or the sunbathing (I am a Lucy type skin!) but loving the touring and swimming!!! Keep up the entertainment.
