My best friend and I are going to WDW alone this summer; no kids, no husbands. We've been there numerous times during the summer so we know all about the crowds.

I'd love to hear from others who may have made trips without the families and what you did while you were there.

I'm sooooooo psyched about this trip I just can't stand it!! I missed going last year because I had a total hip replacement. But this year I'm more than ready to hit Main Street! :cool1:

Jellyrolls all night and then sleeping in late the next morning!

twotoohappy ~ that's a good idea! And I'm right there on the Boardwalk.

Sleeping late; now there's something I KNOW I've never done in WDW. What a concept!! :rotfl:

GREAT TRIP!!! I am so jealous!!!! I just got back from a girl trip but it included my 2 dds and mom. They girls are only 5 and 8. Can't wait till I can take a adult girl trip!! Have a great time.

Their are so many lounges to try but just think when yoiu go shopping you can go into the store that the men and kids never want to go in. Not to mention go to dinner at the restaurants of YOUR choice!!!

Next month I'll be taking my 2nd (hopefully annual) trip to WDW with my BF. No kids!! Last year we spent time at Jellyrolls, drank around the world at Epcot, did the monorail drink-a-thon, hit the Adventurers Club several times and shopped whenever, wherever we felt like it!!! Some days we just walked around the parks without going on rides, taking it all in. We had the best time and we still laugh about it! Can't wait to go back.

Tours! Without the kids & DHs, you have so many more choices open to you. I did hte Segway around the World tour on our last trip and it was so much fun. You get a discount if you are a DVC member. Believe annual passholders and visa card holders also get discounts. Not sure which one is best at this time, so if you qualify for more than one of them, be sure to check!

Have fun!

we went 3 years ago and we have great memories. We,me and dd then 24 and her best childhood friend also 24, her sister 29 and their mom also a good friend of mine! We had great fun at Jelly Rolls 1 night, Comedy club and Adventurers club another night. Both girls are married now so maybe we'll get to do a mother ,daughter, granddaughter trip some day!

Do you already have ressies? Where are you staying-BWV or BCV? I've stayed at both with no family (solo). Do you have a BWV BW view? If so, I just love to sit on my balcony and people watch. BCV? I love to go to B&C, sit at the counter and watch them make all the sundaes (while I wait for mine, of course).

I am planning a girls trip to WDW for this summer too!!!

We wont hit the parks much (I want to do the Segway tour) just hang out at the pool, drink, relax, and head to JellyRolls at night.

I have an all girls trip planned to HH in March. Four good friends and I are going. We plan on shopping, eating and doing a day trip to Savannah. I guess it's a mom thing, but I feel incredibly guilty using points for myself. I would have loved to have gone to WDW with them, but I believe we'll spend less money at HH than WDW and money is a little tight for some of them.

My sister and I did a girls trip a couple of years ago and had a great time. As a matter of fact, we liked it so much, about 6 months later we sprung for another long weekend trip. The first trip was 8 nights at the Wilderness Lodge. We did anything we wanted! It was great. We even spent 2 days just lounging around the pool. We ate at all the best restaurants and flew by the seat of our pants! It was great. The 2nd trip (the long weekend) was at the Swan. We loved to just lounge in those heavenly beds. We had a horrible rain storm so we just lounged in our room, ate tons of junkfood, and watched American Idol! We felt like kids again. :goodvibes

I see Jellyrolls is a popular spot!!

My home resort is at the Boardwalk. I don't have ressies yet but since it's just the two of us we'll take anything!!! We usually get a 1 bedroom when we have the boys with us; but I think a studio will be just fine. I'll miss the washer and dryer but I think somewhere at the Boardwalk they have machines, right? And, I know we won't be doing any cooking so I don't need the stove!!! The microwave will be just fine for us. ;)

I think I'll sit with her this weekend and see what she thinks will be a good time for us to go. She just started a new job and I don't think she has to worry about when she takes her vacation. I'd love to go early June but our boys don't get out of school until the end. Once they're out of school it's clear sailing......DH doesn't have to worry about getting DS out of the house by 7:30!! Unless he has a summer job of course. :teeth:

Last Janurary myself an 3 other friends went for a weekend and we had a blast. We played it by ear and just laughed all weekend. On jan 27 we planned another girls weekend , this time there is 6 of us and we will be at a 2 bdrm in SS and doing some spa treatments. We also have the segway tour booked and we are still planning on alot of laughing!! Have a great time!!

Celebrated my 50th b'day with 5 girlfriends at WDW last month. Stayed at a GV in OKW which was awesome!!! We drank wine, had great meals (Kona and Calif. Grill), loved the Food and Wine Festival at EPCOT, played with makeup at the Guerlain store in EPCOT, hung out by the pool and sampled various "umbrella drinks," and then topped off the weekend with facials and massages at the spa at SSR on departure day. FABULOUS trip which I hope to do again very soon!! By the way, we had decided that for our dinner at CG we would get glammed up so we all donned our favorite fun cocktail attire and my daughter-in-law provided all of us with lightup wands which we carried with us to dinner. Can't imagine a more fun way or a more magical place to celebrate my birthday! Don't feel guilty...my husband was THRILLED to not have to go to Disney again!!!! He and our four sons went to a golf tournament in Atlanta the same weekend i was at WDW, so we each got to do what we wanted! NO REGRETS!!!!

One of the things I'm really looking forward to doing is spending lots of time just lounging at the pool. In all the years I've been going to WDW, I don't think I have taken 1 single day to do nothing but lounge. Relaxing was not in my vocabulary; but it sure is now.
