Its a good thing I have such good self esteem. A while back ago I was drinking and made a bet with James. If he won, he got a wish. Simple right? I thought for sure he would want some special tv watching time. Well, he just let me know that he wants his prize. So you want to know what he wants as his wish????......he wants me to make cobbler. And that's not code for anything. Yep, dinged my ego a bit. But I will live.

Ha!!!!:rotfl:

I will ride anything. Except the swinging gondolas. No fear at all. I have never been so close to vomiting on a ride....and we only made it around once. I was so GREEN, they let us off. The stationery ones are totally okay, but the swinging motion. UGH!!

Molholland (how do you spell it?) is not a fave due to the jerking, feel like my neck is getting yanked. But, I will ride everything else...TOT is my favorite...record is 11 times in one afternoon. I do Maliboomer, but its total carnival/fair vibe isn't the theming I enjoy, so I don't do it every visit.

But, it will be fun, whatever we ride. I will do TOT alone, with people, in a box, with a fox, I will do TOT!!

Sorry ladies, but I'm not in a multi-quoting mood:

Katie, hope you and your dh can figure out the right next step together.

All you CA ladies, stay safe and dry and who was getting snow?? Was it Sarah? Courtney? (see what happens when I don't multi-quote?) :headache:

Tina, glad Marty can make his own damn eggs now! ;)

HI WENDY!!!

TOT? Heck yeah! :thumbsup2

Screamin? Yep, FRONT ROW BABY!

MM? Sure, not my favorite, but it can be fun.

Maliboomer? Never done it, probably never will.

Swinging Gondolas? Nope, NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN! They are PURE EVIL. :scared1:

Stacie - have fun makin' that cobbler. ;) :rolleyes1 That didn't type near as dirty as I heard it in my head. . .

Aww Stacie! You must make some goooood cobbler!

Hiya Callie! It was Sarah, but I wish it snowed here. Nope, it's never going to happen. All we got today was lots of rain, some thunder and a power outage at work. Woopie!

Okay, I'm off to read and then to bed. To bed I said! Goodnight girls!

MAYBE I will need to try Screamin. If I have to, I will just close my eyes.

Oh yeah, Grizzly River Run. I love the ride, but hate getting soaked. I would go on it if it was warm enough and I could go back to my room and change clothes. A few years ago I rode it on our last day, went to dinner at Hook's Point, drove to the airport, and my pants were still damp when I got on the plane home.

Are you reading Dr. Seuss?

No more rhymes and I mean it!

I've never done the swinging gondolas but I'll try it, I guarantee I'll scream though!

Oh, I WILL scream, I can guarantee that! But it doesn't really scare me... too much!

Hi Callie!! :smokin:

Here's my take on the aforementioned rides...

TOT - No way Jose! Was forced to do this on the Halloween Tour last year and never again!

Mailboomer - Again, No way Jose!

Swinging Gondolas - Not in this lifetime. But the red stationary ones are actually quite nice and I really enjoy the view from the top. Anyone want to ride with me while the brave girls ride the crazy swinging ones?

Grizzly Rapids - Sorry, I don't do wet rides in February.

Screamin' - YES - I love it! But only once a day. I can't ride over and over.

Mul Madness - Heck ya! I like this one, too!

Soarin' - I'll do this one as many times as I can. My fav ride at DCA.;)

Night ladies! Our trip is getting so close, I cannot wait.

Good to see some more takers for Mulholland Madness and the ferris wheel. If the swinging gondolas flipped than I would NOT go on :scared1: I'm fine with them as they are now.

The rain has stopped for the night. FINALLY! I like rain but this is just getting to be too much. They're forecasting rain until Sunday! I just hope it doesn't interfere with my parent's flight home on Saturday from NY.

Sounds like a great idea!;);)

He He He, you are going to have a great time! He He He!

Hi!

You probably shouldn't look them up first...it will ruin the fun surprise! Oh and don't worry...I know CPR! He He He!

Sarah

Make sure that you do a refresher course before you come and maybe you had better bring some smelling salts. In my mind you are just rubbing your hands together while you are doing your He He He! :scared1: LYMI

I will ride the swinging Gondolas with you, I'm a chicken at heart.

Warning ladies (and Sarah can back this up) I am a screamer so you might want to bring ear plugs if I get on roller coaster type ride with you. :lmao: My daughter finally after 20 odd years got me on Space Mountain and I didn't stop screaming from the time it started until it stopped. :scared1:

Good morning and Happy Thursday!

Well I would Multi Quote but after 2 years being on this site I STILL can't do it. I told you guys I am computer illiterate! ;)

I know I will forget some people but that is what happens when I can't quote but anyway,

Katie good luck with your situation with your dh. I hope it all works out in the way you want it to!!

Sara (Moto) the snow sounds fun! I used to live in WA and we didn't get a LOT of snow but when we did I LOVED it. Being from CA we NEVER get any here so I really miss it but since that part of WA didn't get it very often the whole town practically shut down LOL. But it was beautiful and fun when we DID get it. Hope you get a snow day! ;)

Tina, glad Marty is feeling better. I feel his pain. My sciatica was killing me but it is better today. I SO want to use my wii again but now I am afraid! Glad you can get a break!! ;)

As for the rides I will do pretty much everything at DL although there are rides I DON'T do anymore because they are too "babyish" ie dumbo etc. My kids are starting to outgrow them even. In fact I don't think I have been on Dumbo more than once or twice EVER. We still do Snow White, Toad etc but the girls are getting more and more into the thrill rides and now they have to indulge MOM to go on them. This past year was the first time I heard whinning cuz they didn't want to have to wait in line to go on the "boring" baby rides. This makes me sad that they are getting to "that age" but I will drag them on cuz I LOVE those rides!! They still want to go on Autopia and that is one ride I detest cuz the lines are always so dang long and to me that ride is BOOOORING!

I LOOOVE all the roller coasters though and go on all of them and the ONLY thing I don't go on at DCA is Maliboomer and the gondolas. I HATE ferris wheels as I got stuck on one at the state fair once and was SURE it was final destination for real! And I rode the REGULAR gondolas and I HATE the way those things drop when it stops and starts! I can take tower over and over and LOVE that ride but there is something that feels unstable to me about stupid ferris wheels. HATE em!!!

I do like MM and my kids love it and we go on it most times. I haven't done things like the swings or zephyer not because I don't like but because they make me woozy. I DO go on tea cups but I don't let anyone spin them!!

Anyway that's MY take on the rides. :) I am up for whatever with whoever pretty much.

Anyway yesterday I went in to work and we called off the computer guy cuz between the storm and my sciatica I didn't want to be there very long and he was glad to not have to come in so we are going to do it tomorrow instead. It did storm pretty good but not as bad I don't think as they predicted. Luckily no downed trees or power outages for us!

Not much going on tonight and then tomorrow we FINALLY have a girl scout meeting. We haven't had one all year and now she is having one 3 weeks in a row! BLEH! I really hate going out on stormy evenings AND esp since it's friday night but oh well. We are having these 3 and then none again till April cuz site sales for cookies will be starting soon. BLEH! Hate those too. That is my LEAST fav part of girl scouts. At least the girls have a father daughter bowling thing coming up in April so they are going to get to do SOMETHING at least!

Anyway that's bout it for me. Hope everyone has a good day today and the weather isn't as bad. It is still supposed to rain but not be as bad today! Take care all and talk later!

:sad2:

I have been up since 4 a.m. with Adam who is now the latest stomach flu victim. That makes 5 people down with it, including myself, in the last week and a half.

I am exhausted. From all the sickness, from waiting 2 weeks for biopsy results (which thank goodness were fine), from having people who I haven't seen in 38 years show up and want to be a part of my life, and from stress in general due to life's little challenges.

That is all.

Okay, I feel better now. :teeth: Thanks for listening. ;)

Oh, and good morning!!! :wave2: I hope the weather is better for some of you today. Dryer, sunnier, warmer. And I hope you all have a great day. Tomorrow is Friday!!!

I love all the trip talk! :goodvibes

As for me and rides...Indy is my favorite and the scariest that I will do. Right now though, if it's rougher than Pirates, I won't be on it. I'm a big chicken! I won't even be riding TSMM this time because I don't think the spinning force on the baby is good. I know, I'm super cautious!

Beth, I didn't look at the front page, but can you add Watching Fireworks with me on Sat night. They start at 9:25pm. I know last year folks arrived really early and saved benches up front. I'm not sure I'm up for that since I'm going back to HoJo prior for a nap. Any ideas anyone on where to watch sort of at the last minute?

Sorry that you have another one down the the bug. Hopefully this will be the last person to get it.

Glad to hear the good news about the biopsy, one less thing to worry about. I still think you should take up my offer to get rid of some of the stress. ;)

I hope you have a great day.

Heather, I am totally up for watching fireworks with you on Saturday. I will be at Jazz Kitchen but with a 7:30 reservation I would think I will be done in plenty of time for the fireworks, just not getting there real early. It would be awesome if someone would be willing to save some spots - I will bring you churros :)

That would be great, but that's my point about finding out where to sit. I will not be back early. I need to get a break in so that I can be up to watch the fireworks. We might just have to pick a spot to stand and watch. I wonder if others are going to go another night where they'll save benches and all like last year? I haven't heard anything yet. That being said I would love to have you come watch with me if you're out in time. With a large group, things seem to take longer. We will see!

I knew you weren't going to be there early, but I thought maybe we could find someone else who would be. What time do you think you will be back? Maybe we could meet up just inside the gates and try to find a decent spot.

Oh Beth I am sorry that the flu has claimed another victim. I sure hope Ruben doesn't get it. He is the only one left eh? That stinks. I'm sorry life has been so stressful lately. It seems like we all are having heck of stressful times! I think it is just this last year or last FEW years that have just been crazy for everyone. This terrible economy doesn't help and I have ALWAYS said that money or the lack thereof seems to be the root of all evil. That seems to always effect everything else. ((hugs))

Hope things start to look up a bit for you soon!!

Heather good luck on finding fireworks people. Sat is mom's birthday and we are going to Hook's that night and I doubt she is going to want to go all the way back to the park. I hope you can find some people (and I am sure there WILL be some!). Is it a new show since last time? It seems like last year it was still remember dreams come true. When I was there in Oct it was the halloween one which was AWESOME!! If they DO have a new show I think maybe Fri or Sun night we might try to watch but I don't think we will be able to on Sat. Good luck though!!

Well I am off to do my workout! Wish me luck I think I am going to need it LOL
