All levity aside Theresa, through face book this year, I really felt I got to know you better and really looked forward to seeing you in Feb....you will be missed, that is for sure.

Pretty cool that you are thinking about Vegas, Steph. I am so NOT a Vegas person, that I don't think I will ever join you guys, this time in particular, my DD turns 10 on June 3rd, and a beloved coworker is getting married then too.

Wow....is anyone else lurking in the wings to let us know they can't make it? I don't know how much more disappointment I can take. It's true.

AmySue, I wish I could tell you that the girls will grow out of it soon, but unfortunately you've got a ways to go. I work with college students and they are even worse than the little girls as far as the way that they treat one another!

I had another crappy day at work in terms of the fact that we spent most of the day working on our budget cut scenarios and then there was a big town hall meeting at the end of the day. It was gloomy at best as people talked about what has happened and what it yet to come. There is a big economic report being released on Jan. 22nd and quite frankly my ability to come on the trip will rest on what that report says. Right now we have to cut 8% of the university budget, but if the results of the report are worse than we are currently anticipating (and many people believe that it will be) then we are looking at an even worse scenario. And, since Dave works for the newest higher ed institution in the state, there is talk of their school being shut down completely if things are really bad. So, count me as on the fence at the moment.

Oh, and think you everyone for your kind words regarding my DD9. All better today. Elizabeth is her very best friend. Yesterday she was mean and not our friend. I guess I need to just get used to it. And I think DL has rollar coasters!!

Off to finish my potato leek soup based on the delicious soup we had at the Biergarten in November.

On another note, I booked our WDW vacation at Saratoga Springs today! We're going for a week in July and definitely doing the water parks. Now it's time to get serious about some dining reservations!!

That's why we're definitely planning on going to the water parks. We usually go over spring break and it's not really hot enough there to do them. The big question is whether we buy 10-day no expire tickets since we know we'll go back, even if it's 5 years from now...

Well I had a craptastic day, that ended up to be not too bad. Marty's back is still not good, so he was unable to go with me to our catering job today. So I got up early, did a bunch of prep work, went out to my car to load up, and my tire was totally flat! There was a huge nail in the tire! Luckily, AAA got to the house in less than 20 minutes.
The good news is that we got a call today, and we got a weekly recurring job that we bid on more than 2 months ago! And Marty finally has a chiro appointment tomorrow, so hopefully he will get some relief soon.

I'm burnt out right now & my brain is frazzled. I spent 4 hours today testing for a job & it was grueling. I think I did okay, but I'm going to go to the library and get some accounting books to read & study a little. Since I haven't worked in a LONG time, I think I'm loosing my edge.
