Big hugs to Callie and your whole family. I am sorry for your loss.

Things are way stressful at work today--it's evaluation season so I have to write 9 colleague evaluations, evaluate my supervisor and his supervisor, and do a 5 page self evaluation. Everything is supposed to be turned in on Friday, but really we have until Monday morning.

But, if that wasn't enough my supervisor threw 2 other ASAP projects at all of us today, so I had to basically drop what I was doing and work on the first of those projects as it is for a presentation in front of the university board of regents and president.

I will likely do the other one at home tonight after Ty goes to bed, as it is turning in a current copy of my resume. I updated it about 1.5 years ago so it won't be too bad, but will be easier done in the quiet at home tonight. YUCK!!!

Also Divas--I heard from Sally and there were about 250 people at Dawn's memorial this morning--standing room only. She said that the person who did the service took a lot of quotes from Facebook to share. I am going to call her tomorrow--she and her husband were just exhausted and going to bed as soon as they got home.

She was either practicing for Kahunaville or showing Ruben her Stripper 101 moves "Slipped in the bathroom"..... good excuse

I'm glad that Dawn's funeral had such a good turnout - very touching!

Also, I wasn't going to mention this here, but it's been eating at me. If I have ever offended anyone here, I apologize. I received a PM that was really upsetting and sounds like some may have been offended by comments I made about CHris being out of work and such. Please know that was never my intent and I'm sorry if anyone was offended by anything I said.

Janelle, I just wanted to chime in and say I have never found any of your posts offensive in any way. Everyone vents or lets the group know of unfortunate (or good stuff too) things that happen, but that's not being offensive, that is sharing your life with your friends (online or not, still friends!). I would just let it go and hopefully the person who is so easily offended can get over it!

Hi everyone, hope all is well.

Had court today, he didn't show so now there's a warrant out for his arrest with no bail. If arrested he would be in for a minimum of 20 days. Go figure. I know he just forgot, as he always does. If I don't remind him constantly about stuff he forgets.

Anyway, I"m fine with it, it doesn't solve anything for me and now my concern is it happening if he has Ayden with him.

Thanks for all the condolences and prayers, ladies! This was a gramma that I wasn't very close to, only having seen her a handful of times in my life. So I honestly haven't been that upset or emotional about it. But I have had and will continue to have to help my mom since she relies on me heavily for emotional support. My other gramma, (dad's mom), I am very close to and will have a much more difficult time when she passes.

Janelle, I'm sorry there may have been a misunderstanding between you and another in our group here. I'd encourage you to work it out with the individual. I personally have never taken offense by anything you've posted.

The retail price is $9.99 for one. The 3pack on amazon is $31.99.
Not sure what they do specifically, but will find out since I bought my kids the 3 pack! From the reviews I know they have "personalities" and act like a real hamster? (not that I know what a real hamster acts like!)
If anything else it will be fun to watch the dog and cat's reactions.

Im being lazy this year and only putting up two trees. My mardi gras tree, and a new one that I have yet to decide how to decorate.

Good Morning Divas!

I wanted to thank everyone for their prayers for my mom and gramma. My gramma went to be with the Lord this morning. My aunt and her pastor were with her in the hospital, and it was a peaceful passing with songs and prayers being said as she took her final breaths.

I wish I could talk my mom into coming on the Diva trip with us. She sure could use a fun time come February. . .

I'll try to get back on later, but I know I'll be dealing with my mom a lot today.

LOL Yes. Do not ask what I was thinking. I blame Stacerita. She mentioned how she has like 9 trees, or 13 or some huge amount and so last year after Christmas I stocked up on decorations and trees.
It took me all day yesterday to set everything up though. I'm not sure I'll do this again.

Its only like 17 trees at last count. Geez.

I fell last night in my bathroom. Slipped on some water on the floor and went down with a big thud!! I'm okay but I was trying to grab the counter to keep from falling and I think I did more harm than good. My lower back hurts now. Ugh.

According to my son, hamsters stay up all night and make their exercise wheels squeak all night long and then sleep all day. They also have some scary looking teeth when they yawn

Hey Janelle, I've read every single post you've made here and I cannot think of one that was in any way offensive. I'm sorry that happened to you, but as Capri said we all know you are an awesome person and so sweet from everything I know about you.

I wouldn't let it bother you, although things like that upset me too. Hopefully whomever sent it to you, the two of you are able to discuss it and work it out. Some people are just too easily offended. I guess.

I am glad there was such a great turnout for Dawn, it doesn't suprise me. She was such an amazing woman, who didn't love her? She touched so many lives. I hope Miss. Sally is doing good today. Well geez actually the whole family, the kids, the grandkids, the boyfriend, & her dad.


Ok here is my little vent for the day. Our old PTO president is no longer at our school (her kids are all in middle school now ) so our new PTO president decided to change our yearly and most profitable fundraiser. We use to sell chocolate, $5 a box and we made 1/2 of that in profit. Well this year she decided to do this Reindeer Lane gift store its a bust. However, the kids are really loving the fact that mom, dad, grandma, grandpa or whomever has given them money to buy presents. The only problem is the items are dollar store quality for crazy prices. We only make 20% of our total sales. That is not even going to be close to the $5600 we made on candy last year. The other thing is I can only imagine the looks on parents faces Christmas morning when the family is opening these presents and they are like we spent HOW MUCH on these things?????

So I spent the day 9 AM- 3PM (I was suppose to leave at 12 but the president suddenly had a change in plans) wrapping these gifts. The entire time I kept thinking, it may be better if I just give Kaeleb $20 and left him run amuck in the dollar store.

Ok enough of that.
