Hooray for weight loss! Wish I could join in that party. LOL

We got the FABULOUS Delta Breeze back last night. What a difference! Got up this morning and it was 74 in the house. Opened up the doors and windows and got it down to 71. Aaaaaaaah! Much better than waking up to 76 and it already being above that outside! Ick! Yes, Beth, we do get some 100 degree days here. I think we average 10-15 of them each "summer" (which can start as early as April or May and go into October- LOL). I like "summer" between 85 and about 92. I'm OK up to about 95 as long as I don't have to be outdoors for any length of time and can stay in the shade. Then uncomfortable up to 100. Anything over 100 I call "stupid hot".

Need to run to MegaWally today. We are out of rice, bread, tuna, raisins, deodorant for Mr Wonderful, lettuce and I'm sure I'll discover more when I actually look in the pantry. LOL Already did dishes & ran the dishwasher and ran a load of laundry (just going into the dryer now). Going to head outside and deadhead the roses while I wait for the laundry to finish and then head out on errands. A thrilling day, as usual. LOL BBL!

Good morning!

It feels more like late afternoon for me. Just got off my first shift at Michaels. Worked 5am-10:30. And tomorrow I work 4am-12pm. :scared1: It will take some getting used to, but I love being home so early in the day. And of all the areas of the store to work in, they put me in the Disney sticker section! Now there's about $50 in stickers that I want. This job isn't going to make me any extra money, lol.

Hope everyone had a good weekend. :)
Wow, that is really early! But, like you said, it's nice to get in and get back home at an early hour.
Too funny about the Disney stickers. After Adam was born, I was working as an assistant manager at Gymboree! I spent most of my check on his wardrobe. LOL

Hope everyone had a great weekend!

I had a very busy weekend (both my boys' birthdays) which was nice because it was fun and kept me occupied. I was a little worried about father's day, but I kept my focus on Justin being the great dad he is....and uhhhh yeah, that's what I focused on. :goodvibes

Highlight of my weekend: When my brother-in-law saw me, he asked me if I lost weight. I don't see any difference myself, but he hasn't seen me for a while, so maybe I've lost a little. Miracles can happen. :rolleyes1
Glad you had a nice weekend with Justin and the boys.
Congrats on the weight loss. I TOLD you there was no way you were not losing weight, silly girl. Yay for you!!

I guess I've been so busy with my new life that I haven't been eating as much :confused3. But I'll take it!
Love. It'll do it every time. ;)

Don't I always? ;) :thumbsup2
::yes::

Me, too! :rotfl: Although, you don't need to, so I don't know what you are talking about. :)

Good job focusing on Justin. We had our celebration on Saturday with my Dad and all the grandkids. He gave us a 1978 speed boat, and I think my husband was afraid it would be a dog, as he was rather grumpy about it, but fact is, ran great, kids tubed and tried to water ski for 6 hours. My husband drove the boat the whole time. I've never seen him so happy! So overall a great fathers day in our house.

Hello ladies!!! We had a fun filled weekend, it was so hot on Saturday I thought I was going to die! LOL I wore a black tube top and a black skirt with black heels, we were inside most of the day but man, when I was outside the black was definitely a mistake. LOL We went to a fish store where we sold a guy a bunch of corals for his tank, then we went in the store and they had a few things we wanted, so we asked if they would do a trade and they said bring in what you have, so we walked out of there with $70 worth of corals for trade! YAY!! That was nice!
Yesterday Micah and I went to see MIB3, I liked it a lot, then Micah went out with his Dad and I went to the grocery store then to class. We had too much fun last night and stayed too late but it was worth it. :) I have class again tonight (I taught Slappin' Leather last night and I'm teaching Dance Ranch Romp tonight), I won't stay as late tonight tho, Sundays are more fun because it's less crowded, I like it less crowded. :)
2 weeks and 5 days until our trip to DL!!! I'm excited!! Not for the drive but for the trip itself. ;) Glad everyone stayed cool, it was way too hot this weekend!

He gave you a boat?!! How fun! If we lived closer we could go boating together. :thumbsup2

We haven't had our new boat out once. It's been too cold and rainy. Hope it warms up soon. :sad2:

I did get a new double-person tube though. It's called Big Bubba! The boys should love it! :woohoo:

So, I had an idea, and thought I'd revisit the whole t-shirt situation again. We do, after all, somewhere along the line have to make a decision. lol

I was thinking of the book that seems to be such a hot topic right now, "50 Shades of Grey", and thought "Hey, why not a grey shirt?" :confused3 It's a color we haven't used yet. It's basic. Easy to reuse. I bet a lot of people already have one, in fact.
And, there really are many shades of gray:

I did a quick check online at Target and Kohls and these are just a sample of shirts currently selling on their website:

You could do heather gray, charcoal gray, gray and white, gray and black, gray with a small print, gray stripes, etc.
It's not the brightest color, true, but we do already have several light/bright colors (last year's pink, lime green, sky blue, etc).

Anyway, just throwing that out there since we hadn't discussed that color yet. I don't think anyway. If y'all hate it, no biggie. :)

That's great! How nice of your dad. Sounds like it was a fun day.

Sounds kinky. :thumbsup2

Ugh, bummer! I hope you get some nice weather soon so you can enjoy your boat and Big Bubba. :sunny:

And it's kind of funny too. A bunch of women running around wearing 50 Shades of Grey. I mean c'mon, that's funny! :rotfl:

(Not that anyone would actually make that connection if they saw us wearing grey. I just have a weird sense of humor. I don't need to tell you that.) :upsidedow

What I like about Beth's idea of wearing grey is this: It's a neutral color. It can be classic or fun depending on the "style" of the grey shirt chosen. I've seen grey Disney shirts too. Everyone would look good in it. :thumbsup2

Besides, we'll all be in a grey mood anyway since it would be the last day of the girls trip. :goodvibes

Well, yes, that's what I was thinking. I mean, grey is not an eye-popping color. No doubt about that. But, then again, some of the group aren't into eye popping colors and might like the idea of something more neutral. And, for those who like to pop, you can do that with the style/design of the shirt as opposed to the color. For our last Disney trip, Noelle had a gray shirt with Goofy on it she found at Kohls, and it was really cute.

I personally don't look good in a light heather gray, but I do like the darker charcoal or gunmetal gray. You could even do a shiny gray, like a silver.

I dunno. I'm not pushing for it one way or another. It's just another color, merely another suggestion to mull over. :)

I vote yes for gray (and if you're totally opposed to gray, then black is just really dark gray, yes????) It makes a nice background for a little (or a lot :rolleyes1 ) of bling :thumbsup2

....OK and having 50 shades of gray would be just funny. Seriously.

I like grey. It goes with almost anything and almost always looks good.

Also I think no matter what colour we where, if there are a lot of ladies standing together wearing the same colour, they will be easy to spot for a newbie coming in. )

Just wanted to give an update on Mia. If we get her, it won't be until end of July or early August. We both want to make sure that's it's pretty much a done deal. We were quite a ways into the process of adopting Anthony when mom decided to snap to attention and become a model citizen. I get a call telling me that they aren't able to continue the case against mom & that Anthony has to go back to his bio-mom. We were devastated......so we don't want to bring Mia here and then have the same type of scenario play out 3 mths down the road. They need to know the court is backing a permanent placement and that once Mia is here...she's here to stay. It would be too painful for Addy to have her here and then taken away. It's also hard on the rest of us too.

They will be telling mom that they're looking at permanency.....either she'll shape up or she'll stay on the path she's on now. Problem is......her history will play into this. She has a history of cleaning up for short periods of time but she does have in her favor, staying clean for almost 5 yrs. So I really don't know. I don't know how deep she is in the drugs to even guess what will happen. They figure they'll have a clear picture in the next 6-8 wks.

I would take her today, but I have to be realistic......we don't want to get hurt in this process. Will update when I hear more.

Thanx for all the support & kind words!!!!

Fifty shades of grey (gray?) cracks me up!
I think it should be instead of the character shirt (or maybe your favorite character is on a gray shirt)

It just seems like we went with colors for each day so we could more easily identify others in our group. but if we're a mish mash of characters and colors, newbies (and maybe even those who have been on the trip before) might not be as likely to approach a group of women that we *think* we recognize as Divas. But gray is a color so I can get behind that!

(I also like red for Sunday ... sorry those of you who don't like red.)

50 women in 50 shades of Gray!! Beth - I believe you have a winner there!!!

Love it!

Yay on the weight loss!!! Katie too! Keep it up :)

I like the grey idea! It is a great color on me :cool2: I just finished that trilogy and I was actually bored! How many ways can you describe :woohoo: ? Not the best books I read, but it helped me knock 3 books off my goal of 100 books per year.

I hope so!!

So far, so good. Now we just need more ladies to pop in with their thoughts. :)

I did a bit of spy work before I posted that suggestion. Picked a few Divas at random, and looked through their photos on FB for any gray wardrobe choices, and saw quite a few. So, even though as I said, it's not the most dramatic color ever, it seemed to be a favorite of quite a few. ;)
