Went to DCA yesterday for just a few hours with Zoe to visit with friends from Chicago. Had a great time. And, Zoe went on ToT! I couldn't believe it. Gotta love peer pressure! Anyway, she got totally freaked out, and then later asked twice if we could go again. I knew she'd like the ride if I could ever get her on it! She loves that kind of thing. Now that she knows what to expect she's ready to have fun!
We're having a crazy busy time right now. Riley and baseball, end of year stuff, 5th grade graduation stuff, friends from out of town....the list goes on. I'm already having withdrawls from the thought of not going to DLR over the summer, as the kids only have SoCal passes. Maybe I'll have to come up with some reason to head up on my own, as I have the Premium. Anyone want to meet up with me sometime in July? I'll need my Disney fix by then.

I'll be going sometime in July--my college roommate and her family will be here and I'm sure we will be doing a DLR trip--probably mid-week. Our other girlfriend and her hubby usually joins us too (he's a former Matterhorn CM). I'll let you know and you can join us!

Anyway, I woke up about 30 minutes ago and checked my email. I won a sneak peek preview of Toy Story Mania on June 10th! I really didn't think I would win but maybe being at DL/DCA the day before helped

I just posted on the other thread about this ... my DD also won. So we'll be there June 9th, still trying to figure out the details but my DL buddy will be joining us!!! That would be Callie, for those who don't know!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who knows? Maybe we'll see some of you this weekend

I am sorry things are so busy for you right now. It's just a busy time of year I guess for a lot of people. I hope you are able to escape and meet up with someone in July.
I'd do it, but we are taking this trip now which will pretty much be the end of our DL trips until October.

I figure we can meet up for the quests around 4 or 4:30 so Beth can come play. MamaKate, I'm so glad you're coming and bringing your DD! How old is she? Teams should be two adult players, so kids add in with that. You can all figure out your teams now, or wait until Saturday. Adjustments can always be made.

Remember this is all just for fun (and prizes, but they're little) so try to leave the super competitive streak at home. (No running over other guests on the way to find your answers! ) You may have to ride an attraction, but I don't think any will have a height limit. It should take about 2 hours maximum. Awards at dinner at 7:20. How does that sound to everyone? I'm always open to changes!

So is this like a scavenger hunt? Maybe I can pre measure dinner for Christian so I can figure everything out. I will try to get there earlier.

I've never done it, but I guess it's something like that. That's a good idea, about pre-measuring out the dinner so you can join us earlier. Sort of a small dry run to see how it goes without you there too. Gotta build up to the trip slowly.

Hey Howdy Hey! Guess who's coming to the Toy Story Midway Manial AP preview??? Oh yeah!

Acutally, I can't believe Stacie has talked me into this. I was so done with DLR after our Ladies' Only Trip. No offense to y'all, but the heat and crowds just about killed me. But I talked my dd(11) into spending her pet-sitting money on a 2-day parkhopper so she's coming with us!

So after almost 24 hours of nervous knots in my stomach, we've got a gas-friendly car, we've got a hotel, and we've got a plan! We're leaving Phx on Saturday, but our passes are blocked out so we won't be able to meet the other ladies for dinner. Darn. We'll be in the parks on Sunday and Monday.

Here's the only dilemma: the TSMM pass is only good for AP holders, and my dd doesn't have an AP. I'm hoping that they'll let her slide through since she'll have on her birthday button and a Disney sparkle in her eye. If not, then I guess we'll just both sit out. She has already argued with me that she still wants me to go without her, but there's no way I would. We're a team and if she doesn't get on the ride, I don't get on the ride.

So keep your fingers crossed for us, and I hope we'll see some of you in the parks!

I am so jealous of you ladies that won a spot for Toy Story Mania. I tried, but nothing. Oh, well----I will have to wait until March to try it out and DD will have to wait until late next year. sigh.

Yeah it was hard to let them expire but we really aren't going back until the girls trip so there was no reason to "waste" the money so when I got my renewal letter I just immediately put it in the shredder and I haven't really even thought much of it. Since I am not going and don't have to buy actual hoppers it isn't a big deal and mom and I are going to buy NEW AP's for the girls trip so it won't really be like we ever were without them.

The sucky part is we were going to take a trip to Vegas and the Grand Canyon NEXT Thanksgiving but with these ridiculous gas prices/airline prices I think these next two Disney trips are going to be my last for awhile. I told mom that since the Grand Canyone looks like it is out and since we will have our AP's that might open us up for a Mickeys Halloween Treat trip in Oct of next year but it is all up in the air. It just depends how bad gas and airline prices truly get cuz we still have to GET there. IF the fuel gets TOO bad it might keep us from going period but as I have told people once we make the initial investment of the passes during that year we have them it makes going a few times a pretty cheap trip. No one understands why we keep going back but the tickets are the expensive part (or at least it USED to be before gas forced you to take out a LOAN) and you could usually always get a deal on a cheap room etc.

Anyway I am getting really stoked about DW and they just released the hours and I have all my ADRS done and my airline tickets bought so I only have a few things left. Plus I have my rooms for March now so we are good to go!
