Ohh--that sounds yummy too--thanks everyone for all the suggestions (and my family thanks you too!)

Steph: glad you are feeling better!

Can I just say I am SOOOO jealous of all of you getting snow. We just had horrendous rain yesterday--I ended up not going to meet with Stacielee at Disneyland because of the rain and work commitments--she called last night and left a message that even though they were right across the street at Hojo they didn't go to the parks yesterday either--it was just that bad. Luckily they did go the night before (and had a lovely time--I talked to her a couple of times).

Can you imagine Disneyland with REAL snow??????

That would be cool!

I can't imagine it being so bad that Stacie didn't go to the park when she was right across the street!!!

No kidding! What a whimp! :lmao: My friends from Claremont drove down yesterday just so they could have fun in the rain with no crowds. They said they had a blast and even rode GRR and didn't wait more than 2 minutes to get on any ride.

DBF was at Disneyland yesterday and he said even though it poured they walked right on all the rides. His cousin just bought them ponchos and they were good to go. I told him that getting stuck is what he gets for going to Disneyland when I had to work. :rotfl:

He got his payback though...he is so sick and can hardly talk. I just talked to him and he sounds bad.

Ok, there's just no way I can keep up with this thread! Horseradish, snow, christmas trees, babies, tummy bugs, hair products, ornaments, christmas cards, digital scrapbooking, kids, pets and vampires. You'll all know me at the meet. I'll be the clueless one who just can't keep anything straight! :confused3

Just one more day until vacation! I can't wait. I'm useless at work. Two weeks off...and then the madness of the holidays with all the family dramas (which happen even when there is seemlingly no reason for them to happen, oh why??) I wish I could just skip it all and go to Disneyland! ;)

It's still freakishly cold over here but I'm nearly done with my house work (only 1 load of laundry left!) because I stayed up until 2am being the little cleaning elf (similar to cobbler elves but way cooler :cool1: ). I could tell my mom felt bad last night because all of our hard work towards cleaning the house and it still ended up in shambles. So I recleaned the kitchen (loaded & started the dishwasher, cleared & cleaned the counters, put away the groceries, etc) then moved onto the dining room, living room, the den, and ended with putting clothes in the dryer. I felt much better! But of course it was way late and I was pooped :lmao: but my mom was very surprised and happy when she woke up this morning :lovestruc

This morning I got up around 10am (oops overslept), cleaned my room, got dressed and folded one load of laundry then made myself breakfast.

And now I have my exercise out of the way!:woohoo:

Ok, off to shower and have a gift-wrapping partayyyy:dance3:

It was AWFUL! When I went to DD's college it wasn't very windy but at Hojo's it was VERY windy, cold and pouring! I am a wimp when it comes to rain, why do you think I don't go on the water rides?!?

I'm glad we went the night before for about 4 hours, rode Screamin' twice, got a corn dog for me and chimi for DD, rode Soarin', got a Peppermint Mocha and Eggnog Latte and a holiday brownie, went to DL, watched a little of the parade, rose IASW, bought fudge and a Mickey Mouse molasses cookie and left. It was very unbusy!! And I'm sure it would have been even better on Wednesday. As a matter of fact, I had to run into WoD and exchange something I had bought in October and at 7:30pm, there was no one at the security checks and CA was already closed (I think they were supposed to close at 8), and there may have been about 5-10 people in the Esplanade. Very strange, almost spooky!! Then driving home, across I-10, it was snowing for about 15 minutes, so cool!!

The fudge I got was peppermint, eggnog and pumpkin! YUMMY!!

I really wanted to get the Brownie funnel cake, but never did. It sounds so good!!

Not sure how often I'll be on here in the next few days, we're leaving Monday AM (6:30) for DH dad's in South Dakota for 10 days, and I've got TONS of stuff to do before we leave.

Merry Christmas to everyone!

I love DL in the rain! I've been before when it was pouring. We were drenched even with ponchos!!!! But it was deserted and so fun.

Yep, all night. He woke up, went to Del Taco for breakfast and then went to 24 Hour Fitness to sit in the hot tup and to shower.
Oh man, poor guy.

I'm glad he had fun, but that's too bad he's sick now. I hope he gets better fast.
And you're so bad......payback! :rotfl:

What are you talking about? You've got it all down pat! :thumbsup2
Two weeks off sounds so nice. Family drama, not so much.

They finally opened up the freeway. DBF is on the way home.
Oh good news!

I stayed up until 2am being the little cleaning elf (similar to cobbler elves but way cooler :cool1: ).
Hey cleaning elf, wanna come to Vegas? :rolleyes1
Nah, never mind. When my kids are home it wouldn't matter. They make the messes faster then I can clean them up.

That's the part of Christmas I am dreading. The after effects of all the presents. Last year there was so much wrapping paper and toy packaging everywhere it looked like Christmas threw up in my living room.

:scared1: Stacie! Ummm, Callie was teasing you.........not me though. :rolleyes1

LOL It must have been bad for you to not go. Sounds like you had fun the night before. All those goodies sound so yummy!!! I want a holiday brownie!! :yay: And that fudge....OMG, I'm drooling over here. LOL

10 days in SD? Sounds fun. I'm jealous. I miss family this time of year. It's just us here. Oh well. Hope you have a great time. :goodvibes

I can't believe Christmas is only a week away!!! I'm so excited! :santa: :yay:

Does anyone do anything special for New Years Eve? Go out somewhere? Throw a party?
We are so boring. I've never done anything fun on New Years. We usually get take out and lots of movies. Ho-hum.
Last year we just watched the fireworks they shoot of on the Strip. We can see them from near our house. That was nice.

I wish I could just skip it all and go to Disneyland! ;)

Sounds like a plan, lets go!

I'm doing just exactly that this year. Wanna come along Wendy? From what I hear I'm much more fun than your real family!

We leave at 1 pm on Saturday, but won't actually be at DLR until Sunday evening as we are spending at least part of the day on Sunday at Knott's.

Anybody who wants to skip out on their family Xmas is more than welcome to join me!

Jane

I got Cristabel's card today. So darn cute!

Here is what I spent the day doing(click for slideshow):

Last year I fell asleep on my friends couch. I had just gotten back from
Disneyland that morning. I was so tired. This year we are having a house party at my friends house. I am thinking of inviting ex-dbf..we started ok so he decided to talk to me again. He started texting me, I think that his sister invited him anyways.

SHHH....I always skip out on my family...holidays = family drama!!! why:confused3 IDK???

This year I am spending with my friend Amanda and her family. Next year it is 5 days at DL again. My kids love that as a present!!!

Evening all. I am back from the GS party. Took the girls to Denny's for dinner and dh wasn't able to join as he had to work late :( . Then we went to Save Mart and bought our appetizer and drinks. I never knew they didn't sell regular six packs of soda anymore. At least not at that stupid store. We had to bring our own drinks and what a pain. All I wanted was a regular old six pack of diet coke but NOOOOO. They had 8 packs of all kinds of crap and 12 packs of diet coke but NO 6 packs. They had those stupid mini 6 packs. You know those drinks for elfs but no regular size ones. And of course NO cold ones either. So I had to buy the mini me sized ones. GRRRR.

Anyway then on our way out Shelby sees one of her friends from school and he is saying hi to her and then he yells "hey some lady fell down" REALLY loud and then I look over and notice this lady sitting on the curb and all these store employees gathered round. I hope she is ok. Then Lynn says she noticed that her face was all bloody. It was just starting to rain so I don't know if she tripped cuz it was slippery out or what. I'm sure she was real thrilled that this little boy was screaming out at the top of his lungs that she fell down!

Anyway then I had to try and find this place where the party was in the dark, in the rain and I got lost but finally found it and then we were the first ones there. So we sat in the car for a bit till people started to show up. The girls had fun and made some crafts and then did their oranment exchange. Ours were a hit :) . I gave Hannah Montanna ones. :) Anyway then they got their patches for the first half of the year so I am going to be busy ironing on for days! Anyway now I am home.

Tomorrow is MY office party. I know we are going wine tasting I believe and then to a fairly yummy place to eat and then shopping supposedly although I think it is supposed to rain and I know it is going to be pretty cold so I don't know how good that will be cuz the little town where we are going we were supposed to walk around to shop so I don't know if that is going to workout.

That was what we did last year in a different area. But anyway we are also doing our secret santa. So hopefully it will be a fun day. My dad is having a procedure done at the hospital tomorrow morning so I am hoping he is up to picking up my kids tomorrow afternoon.

He has done this several times before so he knows what he is in for and mom says he should be ok to pick them up. I hope so!

Anyway as far as new year's it is Katy's birthday and we always do a family deal. My mom wants us to go up to her condo in Truckee. I am not sure if we will be able to or not. It all depends on Lynn's work schedule and when she is working and what happens. We are hoping to go up there and spend a few days playing in the snow.

Most years we just spend New Year's eve with them having a family party and then New Year's day is usually football and then the saturday after is usually Katy's kid party which this year happens to be bowling at Strikes.

So those are my plans.

Anyway that's bout it for me tonight.

Talk to you gals tomorrow. :)

Well, I don't want to skip out on my family, but I wish we could all go! It sounds like you are going to have so much fun. I hope we'll get a trip report of some sort and some pics! :)

How fun!! I love it. Thanks for sharing.
And I got her card too. It is so cute!

That sounds fun. I'd love to go to a party. Maybe when the kids are older.

That sounds nice too. I miss having family close by. That's what I miss most about being in MI.
I do not miss the snow though. LOL

I know I don't get on here much these days but just wanted to let you all know I am thinking about you and our trip and am bummed I have not been able to keep up. Thanks to all of you in the christmas card exchange! It has been wonderful to get your cards.

Heather (littleblackraincloud) love the idea of the scrapbook! Count me in! Oh, and thank you for all your hard work putting together the trivia. With my crazy work schedule and 2 young children (my youngest is just about 6 months old and my oldest (finally potty trained as of this week!) is 3 1/2) I didn't get a chance to do it in time, but I wanted to let you know I understand the huge effort you put in and that is sooo cool about club 33. Those individuals will have so much fun and what a unique experience that you are sharing! (Beth and January I know from the original trip to Disneyworld and they are a blast!)

Happy Holidays to all of you and I look forward to possibly getting back on here more often in the new year!
