Girls Only Trip (old thread, link to new thread in first post)

Hey all! Well I tried to get 1 of those 99 dollar dooney purses today for my mom, the doors opened and gone in 10 mins. atleast i got everyday till the 21 to nab one for xmas. Some women go everyday and buy 1 daily that's to much I think. I may try to get in with the tour I wanted to do it with Dd but didnt think she would like it if I can't snag a segway spot. I am still offering cocktails if all else fails since I joined late. We are staying DLH i'm still considering split stay dlh, and GCH. I wonder if they do a group or function rate on the suites then the disgirls would get to have an ultimate experience partying with pirates lol. I am super outgoing, so if I bother any of you ladies just tell me to shut up. Also please let me know what I need to do for the tour, heck if anything I will treat to some goodies candy, hunny pot apples, and the likes. If you ladies need my cell number let me know, and I will message it right over.

Any old out going gal buying drinks and hunny pots is good in my book

Just wanted to throw in a disclaimer. I didn't make the wreath. It came all Mickey Head shaped with one gold ribbon and the little silver and gold leaves with the plastic mickey heads. I just had a bucket of stuff(ie beads and baubles and ribbon from last years real wreathe) and I hot glued it on with the other stuff. The original came from the Disney Store.

hi! i have been lurking these girls trip threads for awhile, but i have been unable to attend any trips, so i haven't really participated! i had a question, though, if anyone remembers. i remember seeing some chocolate covered strawberries that someone received as a gift and posted pictures. I was wondering if anyone remembers where they were from? I was thinking of doing that as some holiday gifts. Thanks for the help!

But......ummm, you lost me with the tour. LOL Do you mean the Segway tour? You don't need to do anything yet. If someone drops out, I'll let you know and then we can work out payment details then.

It just doesn't seem like Christmas this year. There are hardly any decorations around town. No family around to celebrate with, and I'm worrying like crazy about my son.

Aw, I'm sorry. I wish we lived near each other! I'd take you out to get you out of your funk. Try not to worry too much and enjoy your time with you hubby.

Honestly, they don't last long. I kept them in the fridge due to living in Arizona, and the water content from the Strawberries and moisture from the fridge really made the chocolate soggy after a while. I'd say they were good for 3 days, and then ok for one more day. They are also HUGE. I see those sets of 24 berries, and think 'how on earth would I eat all of those!' I notice they are delivering right up to the 24th. If you really want them to have them for Christmas, I would rec setting up delivery for the 23rd. HTH's!

Oh, and when my dad was battling cancer, I sent these to him, and his nurses went crazy over them! When he was admitted again 3 weeks later, they asked if I was going to send them again. I did send them a box of 18 berries. They loved them! I think they are a great gift for teachers, hairdressers, and folks like that. I can't imagine anyone not liking them, although some are allergic to strawberries.

I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that way!! LOL Although today it wasn't too bad. I put on my White Christmas DVD and just took my time while the kids were in school. It was kind of nice. Although I was glad to finally be done.

I'm sorry you're not 'feeling' Christmas. I'm in a similar mood. We haven't put up our tree or any decorations. Normally I put them up Thanksgiving weekend. Lots of stress for me right now and I just haven't made the time to do it. I have promised my kids that we're going to do it next weekend. This weekend we're going through all of the toys and their dressers to determine what no longer fits, gets played with, and the things they've outgrown (both toys and clothes). We all know Santa won't come if there's no room for new presents. It works with them for now anyway.

I don't have a darn thing planned. Ruben has a new schedule now. He's off every weekend, but we don't have any plans. All the stores and malls will be packed. I can't think of anything to do.

I have tons of wrapping paper and tags that I bought on clearance after last Christmas. I always do that. Sometimes I forget what all I have. haha

My mind has left the building for the rest of night. I didn't end up leaving work until 5. I got stuck in traffic. I made the stupid decision to head to the Post Office, but I TOTALLY forgot they're doing the Christmas tree lighting tonight, and everything was blocked off and the detours took FOREVER! After I finally got out of that mess, I went to the store and bought my favorite bottle of wine. Now, if I feel up to it, I'm going to make my favorite dinner: spaghetti and turkey meatballs with mozzarella. So much for the diet!

I LOVE Shari's Berries! The last time I was in one of there stores I overheard the funniest conversation. They were handing out samples and this gentleman was in there and he asked, "how much are the samples?" and the lady working theres said, "they're samples" and the guy said "I know that, but how much are they?" Again she repeated "they're samples." This went on for a little while and then she finally said that they didn't cost anything and the guy just walked out, with NO sample! So I made my way over there and got myself a free sample...and they were the full sized ones! Yum Yum!!!

I'm getting people sick via the internet, so watch out for me! I still swear I got sick via text message. It's one of those virus's you have to look out for, make sure your Norton is updated!

I plan on being in bed sick all weekend and enjoying every second of it. My friend's son is having his 1st birthday tomorrow, but I don't think I should go because I'm sick. I'll just have to make it up to him and his mom another time.

I haven't gotten into the Christmas spirit, and I don't really think I will this year. I found out a couple days ago that my niece's wont be here, so it'll just be my parents and myself. I am SO used to having at least 10 people at my house on Christmas morning. The Christmas card is depressing this year too. Last year there was 7 of us and this year there's only 4 of us. Stupid family drama.

Jury Duty was so scary today.. the case was about this man who was bad to his wife and hit her with an iron i wanted to go home so bad.. i got there a little before 8 and they didn't let me go til 2:30!!!!
