Oh no Cheryl! I think MY bad luck wore off on you!! I hope you guys were able to work it out and HAVE a blast!! I think you said you were getting back right before I leave so I don't know if I will be able to hear about your trip or if you will be checking in while you are there but I hope you have a GREAT trip!!!!

My little one is going back to school today and I only have to stop by the school one time to give her drops but I am keeping the middle one out cuz she is still on drops every three hours PLUS the stupid antibiotics three times a day and that is just TOO much! BLEH. Plus the rain started in last night and wind but we are crossing our fingers that it will stop long enough tonight so the kids can trick or treat but worst case scenario our local mall has trick or treating so we can always go there but it is not as fun and there candy sucks Plus with the rain I bet it will be packed! So NOT fun!

SOOO I am hoping that we can do my parents place cuz it is a MUCH better option! DSD is working tonight too so dh has to stop right in the middle to go pick her up but so be it. And then we have a stupid soccer game at 9 a.m. tomorrow but I am trying to convince dh to not have the girls play cuz it is supposed to pour all day tomorrow and I don't want to chance the girls getting sicker because of them ALREADY missing a week of school AND I don't want them catching pneumonia less than 3 weeks before OUR big trip. So we shall see!

Anyway I am off to work so don't talk to much and have a good day everyone!! See you after work!

You guys are not going to believe this.

My Mom is currently at the emergency room at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach.

As I indicated a couple of days ago, she has developed lymphodema as a result of her surgery this past summer. This afternoon her arm started getting a red mark, and by evening it was moving down her arm. She would not let me go and take her to the doctor--so her caregiver came and took her to the hospital. She is insisting that I go ahead and go tomorrow morning to Florida--which I don't want to do--but she's insistent that once she gets checked out she will get on a later flight and come on out.

I can't believe this is happening. Just five hours ago I was finishing up work and making final plans to go tomorrow.

So, I guess I am going--if I am able I will update you while I am gone.

Cheryl, I am so sorry that this had to happen. I sincerely hope that she got out of emergency last night, and was able to fly out with you yet this morning. If not, then let us pray that she will be able to join you as soon as possible.

I posted over on your Pre trippie last night, to say good-bye. Not sure if you were able to read it or not.

Have a wonderful time. We all will be thinking of you and your Mom.

Why is it that some Moms just can't handle that their kids ARE NOT PERFECT?

I don't know. I had a talk with Lindsey about how it still wasn't ok, even though he started it. But I'm sure her little angel got away with it. Oh well. What can you do?

Where Is Everyone?

Last night Ruben was decorating the outside for Halloween so I was helping with that. I would have loved to put it up sooner, but NO ONE in this neighborhood decorates for any holiday. They are all so boring with sticks up their you-know-whats. So we decided it would be best to wait until the day before or else someone might complain.

I just got my 13YO DD's costume done, from the thrift store. She's going to be Juno! Not sure about THAT!! But she does look cute. I'll have to take a picture tomorrow and post it.

How clever! I liked that movie a lot! Can't wait to see the pic!

The trip was fantastic! My mom just moved from Virginia to LV, so I am so happy that she will only be 4 hours away from me!

I'm glad to hear that. How is she liking it? I've never been to Virginia but I'd imagine Vegas is a big change! LOL

OH NO!!! Cheryl, I am so sorry. I hope by now she is ok. Oh gosh, I don't know what to say. I'm just really praying it all works out for you two. I know how much this trip together meant to you both.

I finally have time to post pictures of my trip on Monday to Disneyland with my son and 3 of his football team mates. First off this is my DS:

Kate no worries. I went on splash too when I was about 8 weeks pg with Shelby and hey she is 7 now! I think there are probably some rides I wouldn't go on like ToT or Screamin but splash is not one of them.

And I love the hidden Mickey in the cactus! Too cool!!

Well I have made it through the day so far. The rain has taken a break and they say we will get a reprieve for tonight! I sure hope so! Shelby is going to be Jasmine and I shelled out the bucks for the matching shoes but now I don't think I can let her wear them because they are like satin and cardboard and I think with all the puddles and mud on the ground they will disintegrate! SOOOOO I think it will have to be tennies after all. Oh well.

I will have to post this pic I took of Katy though once I get my pics taken after tonight. She didn't want to give anyone her germs so she made herself this mask out of TP and taped her kleenex box to her shirt. It is hilarious! LOL.

Oh and when I stopped at the school to give Shelby her drops I told the school secretary that Katy should def be back by monday but that both girls had re-checks at the docs and that I hoped that the doc didn't extend Katy's drops because her eye is STILL really red and blood shot. The stupid lady behind the counter was like "well really they only need to be out 24 hours". I was like whatever lady. Katy's eye was swollen as big as her head and both the urgent care AND my doc took her out of school for the entire week cuz they said they had never seen such a bad case. Maybe MOST kids only need to be out for a day but she had it REALLY bad. WHATEVER. I know you are just worried about not getting your check for her but WHATEVER!

Neither one of my kids has missed more than 1 day I think EVER since they have been in school. I don't think Katy has EVER been out sick since kindergarten and Shelby has missed maybe one day. I don't let my kids miss school unless they are TRULY dying or if they had something that would make others sick which they very rarely do. They are VERY healthy kids. In fact in the 5 years I have been going to my doc Katy had NEVER seen him. They had to make a file for her because she had never been there since we moved from the pediatricians office 4 years ago. The ONLY times my kids EVER miss is the 2 or 3 days each school year I take them out for trips. So I DON'T want to hear it. I know most kids miss a LOT more days of school then my kids ever do. In fact they usually get perfect attendance awards. Sheesh.

Anyway off my soap box. I just get so angry when they worry more about missing out on their money then they do about the kids.

Ok back to the regularly scheduled programming.

I'm hoping to get to go solo for a half day in December. Ruben has Dec. 20 and 21 off, so he's trying to get the 19th off too. If he can then we are thinking of heading to CA to visit with some family for Christmas.

Since I am going to be renewing my AP for the March trip, I'm toying with the idea of sneaking off to DL for a few hours on the 19th. I don't even care to do any rides. I just want to walk around, and see all the Christmas decorations.

I guess we'll see if he can get the time off. And I'm not sure we should chance it with the van. The last two times we barely made it on a wing and a prayer!

Anyway off my soap box. I just get so angry when they worry more about missing out on their money then they do about the kids.

Don't get me started on the 2 teenage girls that followed us around for most of the day. When they got a little too brave, I had to chase them off

You don't want to know what I went on when I was 8 weeks. Michelle (Zoemakes5) made me go on Ghostrider at Knotts !! That ride was soooo bumpy and jerky and it hurt Michelle's back . From then on, I've been a little more cautious on what I ride.
