Just wanted to tell Cheryl how sorry I am about her mom and cat. Would that be Chase having these health woes? Who is watching your "kitties" while you are gone? I hope he recovers very, very quickly. And have a fabulous trip. You deserve it. Can't wait to hear all about it as DD & I visit the world in January. Oh, and don't stress about work. Just keep repeating that first sentence!! If all this was happening while you were there or the day before you were supposed to leave, it would be a total nightmare!

I already started looking at hotel prices for that time of year.....yeah I don't sleep much. It looks like mid week rates for the mid-end of June are between $120-170. Those are for decents places on the strip. Just need to share rooms and costs, and the trip can be pretty budget. I'm not a gambler so Vegas can be cheap for me.

I remember for one trip up there is was a girls weekend and we rented a cabana. It was really cheap. Only was like $20 per person. Tv/Radio, misters, chairs and lounges, fridge and a cabana host. It made us feel all VIP, but didn't cost that. Might be a thought.

And true, vegas wont give us the HoJo rates, but thats when you start sleeping people in the tub and under the sink.

Honestly, it doesnt matter where I stay. I'm hardly ever in the room. Plus I have stayed at some really nice places in Veags, and I have stayed down downtown. So whatevers is cool with me.

Just need to make a trip to OG and its all good.

I'm rarely in the room either. I've never stayed downtown. But I've stayed everywhere from the Tropicana and Circus Circus to the Palazzo and Venetian.

In particular, I am looking at sharing from Long Beach Airport. Anyone??

I've had a bad day today. I couldn't stop coughing for the life of me. I felt so embarrassed during my classes. I actually got up three different times from math so I could go outside and cough my lungs out! I bought mucinex by advice of my friend. I REALLY hope it works. I hate this cough and I have to work tomorrow! My back and stomach hurt so much from all the coughing.


Too bad I'm not 21 yet or I'd try to do that Vegas trip. Oh well, I'd probably go bankrupt anyways hahaha

Awww, hope you feel better soon. I hate coughing fits!

Oh, and not to discount it--but now my Mom has developed lymphodema which is something to do with the lymph nodes that were removed in her surgery this past summer. If it's not one thing it's another. But I think she's good to go on Friday. Sigh--back to work--but wanted to let you all know why I've been absent all day (haven't even mentioned the 4-hour business meeting today!)

I'm sorry to hear about your cat.

What has the doc said to your mother about treatment for her lymphedema? I have seen some really miraculous treatments for that. Massage therapy is one of them. And they also had wrappings done as well. But the massage therapy did wonders for those involved. I think there was a show on Discovery Channel about it. If I can remember the name of it I will let you know. There was also some drastic treatment like lyposuction. Scary, but massage therapy looked nice.

Tell your clients to chill out and you'll be a much happier and well-rested attorney for them when you get back from WDW.

Hello everyone .

I just skimmed through the pages really quick since I'm soooo far behind, but I wanted to offer my Brown Diva Shirt to either Beth or Steph to wear to the pizza party since I won't be there (still feeling jealous). I think it's a size large, but I'll double check tonight and let you know.

Also, I took the day off yesterday to take my son and a few of his football team friends to Disneyland. They had a teacher inservice day so they didn't have school. The crowds were wonderful!!! But I'm really tired from trying to keep of with 4 boys all day .

I'm going to post some pictures from our day tomorrow.

Callie I made those last weekend, and they were yummy. Did it seem to you like there should have been more flour? I thought so, and I added more flour to the recipe, and they were still super moist.

Hi everyone--today has not been the best of days. I am quickly running out of time and have SO much work to do. (Clients--don't they know I'm going on vacation!)

Then to top it off my older cat was limping this morning--out of an abundance of caution I dropped him at the vets--and found out later today that he has heart problems (and is limping because he probably threw a clot and it settled in that area). So, three days before I leave for 8 days he is now on two medicines. I just picked him up--boy, was he hungry! (I had noticed the last couple of days he wasn't eating like normal--usually he's a hog--poor little guy! He was HUNGRY when I brought him home!) We don't know what the long-term prognosis is; so keep your fingers crossed. I guess when he's as old as he is (12) we should expect some problems--just wish they hadn't cropped up right before I go on vacation! (Is that selfish?)

I'm also sorry to hear about your Mom. I'm hoping that she will feel much better for your super big trip, and that all the traveling will be comfortable for her.

Beth- we had a great time in Vegas. Although I had some stomach issues, that are still lingering. That made me mad, cuz for 2 really nice dinners I had soup. Phooey!! I love me some good food. I already shared with some, but I'll share again, that I did not like Bette Middler at all. She has a pretty foul mouth, and made some really off color remarks. She did a mermaid act, that I thought was pretty cheesey. Oh well..........Maybe it was just me and DH? The Venetian was beautiful, and would stay there again. So far I think I like the Bellagio the best, cuz of the fountains and conservatory. I just love them. Someone asked about Phantom one time. I will have to say,that that is my all time favorite show so far. But, I could be biased, cuz I love the music. I wanted to see it so bad again, seeing how it was playing at the Venetian, but we were with friends, and I didn't want to ditch them the last night. I almost convinced my DH to go anyways!! But then came down to earth and realized that was not the time. Next time in Vegas I am going!!! And to see KA or LOVE!!

Thanks Linda--yes, it's Chase. I am very worried about him--he won't eat (which is so unlike him). I'm hoping he's just tuckered out from being at the vet all day.

My DBF (or ex-DBF, depending on the day) has agreed to house and kitty-sit while I am gone--of course, I've got to provide food for him too--I may have been better off hiring a service--LOL. No, really--he loves cats and I am so grateful that he has promised to stay here while I am gone. I actually started thinking tonight that maybe I shouldn't go--and he was adamant that there was nothing I could do that he couldn't do.

Thanks for your thoughts--we'll have to get together after I get back and before you go so I can share any hints!

Yes, he wants her to have massage therapy--but she can't get in until after we come back from WDW. Her arm is gently wrapped. So we will continue that while we are gone.
